Stayed here prior to flight to San Juan -staff very pleasant and helpful with directions and advice. Van service prompt as I was meeting friends for dinner at Brio Tuscan Grill at the mall - they service a 3-mile area around the hotel. Parking plentiful. The rooms are spacious although there was no book in the room telling about local attractions. Booked through a discount site - be sure you don't get room with hotel main ac outside the window as it's a bit noisy at night. Breakfast choices were many - better than most hotels offer. All in all a good choice.

We stayed here for 2 nights before a cruise. The accomodations were satisfactory and as expected for a Hyatt Place. We weren't thrilled about the location, but having a shuttle that took us around a 3 mi radius helped.

I got this hotel off a discount site on the net. It turned out to be one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at. It was perfect. We have stayed in a lot of hotels and this is my fav. We called from the airport and the van was there in less then 10 minutes. On saturday it drove us arond where ever we wanted to go within 3 miles of the hotel. We were taken to some resturant by the water called the Bahama something (?) and it had the best food you could ask for on a vacation. I will try to stay at this hotel again when I am in Tampa. its close to the International mall and a cheaper discount mall not far on the south side. Thanks to all the staff at this location for making our 2 days stay on Feb 1 to 3rd very enjoyable.

I just finished a three week vacation with my wife and adult special needs son. The staff is super and very inviting. The layout of the room is brilliant and roomy. The 42in plasma is equally visible from bed and the L shaped couch/hide a bed in the living area. Impeccably cleaned every day and roomy enough that the walls don't close in on you on extended stays. The exercise area is better than many I've seen and the pool was excellent though most of our water time was at Clearwater Beach and Anna Maria Island. We chose this hotel for its area as it's centrally located to visit the many attractions in the Tampa area; i.e.Florida Aquarium, Lowry Park Zoo, Big Cat Rescue, etc. Shopping is handily nearby with the International Mall, Westshore Mall, and food is close with a P.F.Chang, Chipolte, and the ever present Taco Bell. We had a wonderful time and the hotel was our comfortable home base. For business,cruise layover, or extended vacation, this hotel was geared for all of the above and we saw all types of people come and go through the front doors during the substantial free hot breakfast and the staff was able to accommodate all comers. I have no doubt that if, for any reason, there was a problem with anything, the staff would have jumped through hoops to make it right. It is certainly on our list of places we would return to if we were back in the Tampa area.
