My daughter and I had a great short stay for an early flight the next morning, Tereza Peclinovska was so helpful and friendly with our check in and sent up cookies and milk for my daughter ! This hotel is so convenient for a long layover or even for a local to catch an early flight.

I stay at this hotel every week of the year for business, and I have not had any complaints. It is clean, the staff is friendly, the room service is much improved, the fitness center is more than adequate for a hotel gym, and its in a convenient location for travel.

Stayed at the Marriott Tampa Airport Hotel very recently due to a very early flight out. In leaving my room to grab some dinner, I found a problem with the secure lock on the door. Called down to the front desk and within a very quick time, Keith from the maintenance department was there with an explanation and a brand new lock. Problem solved by a very nice gentleman. I have to also admit that the bed with the most comfortable I've ever slept in --------------- didn't want to get up the next morning even 'tho I had a flight to catch. I did oversleep but because I was already at the airport, it all worked out just fine. Hotel is certainly not inexpensive but it was worth the price.

We are aware that from time to time things may go wrong during but its individuals like Keith that are able to turn it around through his focus on our resolving those challenges. It was also great to hear that you slept so well while staying with us as that’s the one of the most important aspects of a hotel stay. Our location certainly allows for a few extra minutes of sleep as you never have to worry about a long commute during your walk to the terminals. I attended a wonderful conference (FEF) at this hotel. The service was excellent. One member of staff in particular (Cherylann) was amazing. She was a kind, attentive, and thoughtful professional who made a great of difference in the overall experience. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. I look forward to returning next year.

I was there on business for a few days and really enjoyed my stay. Got a bit turned around driving in and traffic is always busy...of course, it's an airport, but I must say that the staff is exceptional! I was rushing from one meeting to the next and dropped my sweater, as I'm rushing through the halls trying to locate it, CherylAnn had found it and was in the process of taking it to the front desk. Throughout my stay, she was a tremendous help and a joy to see each day with her infectious smile. She is a great asset to the Marriott team!

When I don't want my family to have to take me to TPA at o'dark early, I stay overnight here. The staff is always professional, polite, and nice. For Elite members of the Marriott loyalty program, check-in is super quick: show your ID and credit card, here are your keys. Literally less than 2 minutes from walking up to the front desk to walking over to the elevators. And they actually pay attention to the preferences you put into their website. I prefer a high floor, extra towels, and a king bed room. The last 3 visits, I was put on the 6th floor (the top) in a room with a king bed, and there were 2 extra towels waiting for me on the bed. Didn't have to remind them, everything was set up.

The rooms are always clean as a whistle, and the TV listing guide in the room actually matches up to the channels on the big HD TV (you *know* that's not always the case; many listings are old and wrong). There are electrical plugs everywhere, so there's no trouble juicing up my various electronic devices. And even though you're right there at the airport, the windows are pretty much soundproof, so you can enjoy the view of planes landing and taking off, but not be blasted out of bed by the engine noise. The rooms themselves are decorated in a very soothing color scheme.

As it's a round building, some rooms are bit on the small size, some have a fair amount of elbow room. As I'm normally only here for one night, I don't particularly care about room size, but if you're planning to stay here for a few days, you might ask for a room with a little more square footage. Regardless of the size, there is always a comfortable high-back chair, an ottoman, and a big desk with an adjustable office chair. Very easy to get some work done if you need to.

The biggest drawback can be pricing. I've paid as little as $109 for a king-bed room, but have also seen prices over $300 online (and verified when I've called to double-check). I haven't been able to figure out why the price can vary so much.

We are pleased to hear that by us focusing on the details you were able to relax and enjoy the hotels offerings. We strongly feel that it’s the small details such as the extra towel request that separates us from the norm. In regards to the variance in rates, they depend on the day of the week and our occupancy during the time of booking. But we do offer some advance purchase options that offer a price break if purchased three weeks in advance. We stayed overnight at the Marriott Tampa Airport after a flight from LGW to Tampa. On previous holidays to Florida we have gone straight from Arrivals to the hire car company and them driven off to our first nights accommodation, this is always tiring and stressful especially if the flight has been delayed and you have to queue for the car and have no idea where you are going! This time we decided our first night would be at the airport and it turned out to be a great decision.
The hotel was lovely. Check in was quick, staff friendly, the room was spacious, clean and modern and we were very pleased to just be able to get a bite to eat in the airport, stretch our legs and look in the shops and generally relax. The hotel had a swimming pool which we didn't use, but the pool area looked good.
Breakfast was buffet or a la carte, we had the buffet which was good value and had a huge selection as you would expect from an American hotel.
After a restful nights sleep and a good breakfast we were ready to enjoy the beginning of our holiday with much less stress!
