“COnvenient location”

We stayed here as part of a wedding party. The hotel is undergoing some construction so it was a little bit awkward, especially the valet parking and the lobby. But the staff is very nice and try hard. We got a group rate that was fair for a major downtown hotel.

Thank you for staying with us. We apologize for the hotel being awkward right now. We are undergoing a renovation and soon we will have a brand new product. Due to the renovation our Front Desk and Valet had to be temporarily relocated but soon we will be back to normal. The stay was fairly good. The hallway to the room was freezing - evidently not thermostatically controlled. My larger complaint was the lack of free wireless service in a business class hotel. When you pay the price - you expect the service.

I Travel quite a bit and the service here was amazing. The valet ,front desk and shuttle services was extremely professional and friendly. Hotel is under renovations but clean and modern. Rooms were tastefully decorated and clean. Loved the products provided. Great price especially compared to surrounding hotels which wete a lot (up to 100 more).

The staff here is responsive and attentive. It's a nice property and is being remodeled so it is likely to get even better. The location is surprisingly convenient because the downtown trolly stop is a pleasant walk of one block away. There are not a lot of restaurants nearby, but enough for a visit of a few days and the trolly takes you into Ybor City where more options are available. The only real problem we had with the hotel itself is that we could not get the shower water to heat up beyond tepid. It wasn't because so many other guests were taking showers at the same time. The hotel just seems to have set the maximum water temperature unreasonably low. The only other problems I have are not problems with this hotel, but with the Hilton system itself. (1) Hiltons do not provide free wi-fi for most guests (only their gold and platinum Hilton Honors members). That is unacceptable at any hotel these days (although the nice people at this Hilton did provide me with free wi-fi when I protested the lack of it). (2) If you are a Hilton Honors member and your company or you client pays for the stay, you do not get credit on your Honors account. That is absurd. It is a policy that has cost many Hilton hotels a lot of business because I, for one, steer my clients to other hotels where I can get credit on their award programs even when the bill is sent to my client. (3) When you do stay at a Hilton and you put it on your credit card, you get one credit per reservation/stay, not per night, so you get the same stay credit if you are there for one night as if you stayed for 20 nights. And don't try to book 3 separate reservations for a three-night stay; when people began doing that, Hilton changed the rules so "stays" could not be sequential. None of these issues are THIS hotel's fault, and this is obviously not the place to complain about HH policies, but the hotel should be concerned about these issues because the Hilton Honors rules are costing them and every other business-oriented Hilton Hotel a lot of business--certainly more than they have any means to track.

We do provide complimentary internet for our Gold and Diamond members. If you are not a Gold or Diamond Hilton Honors member, we provide free Wi-Fi in our common areas and Business Center. When you stay at Hilton, you do get a stay credit, however you also get credit for the number of nights. You are able to upgrade status not only with stays, but also with nights or base points.

We enjoyed having you as our guest and we hope you will have the opportunity to stay with us in the near future.

As a diamond you expect to be treated with some respect...not at this hotel. Check in took 30 minutes. Lobby was a mess. No waters available at check-in and no upgrade offered or given. I was billed as a no-show. Waited 15 minutes at breakfast for a server. Terrible experience - go stay at the courtyard next door.

Don't get me wrong, it's a nice hotel but $16 for self parking or $20 for valet per night? Like your room prices aren't ridiculous enough. Couldn't do express check-out over the phone because they were too busy--we're told to come to the desk, wait in line to be told: Oh ok you are all set. That couldn't be done on the phone? Plus, it took them about 10-15 minutes to get our car pulled up from valet. Will most likely not stay here again nor recommend to others.

Thank you for staying with us. We would like to begin by apologizing with the inconveniences you encountered on your visit.

Our parking fees are competitive with the other hotels in the area. We are currently under renovation and our valet desk area had to be temporarily relocated. Being that most of the streets in our downtown area travel only one way, our valet staff have a longer travel time to get the cars. We should be back to normal as soon as the renovation is completed, our apologies for that.

We have researched the situation with the phone check out. It has come to our attention that there was a problem with the phones in the guest rooms and it was not letting the guests do phone check out. We are taking care of the problem right away. Thank you for letting us know. Again, please accept our our apologies.

I stayed for 3 nights on a business trip. The staff was very friendly and worked hard to make sure it was a good experience. The gym is quite good for this level of hotel as is the pool area. I highly recommend for those who need to be downtown. The location is not ideal for those who do not have a car, though the trolley was a nice option.
