“Howard Johnson Tampa/airport stadium”

The hotel room's carpet was filthy. My feet/socks were black from walking on the carpet. The bathrrom tile wasn't much cleaner and the toilet leaked when you flushed it. Very disappointed in this hotel.

“New Years Eve at Hojos”

Check-in was smooth and efficient. Clean room. Surprisingly quiet considering the proximity to strip clubs, a busy road and the fact that it was New Year's Eve. Close to restaurants and shopping. We wanted to take the shuttle to the airport but the first shuttle was at 5:00 a.m. and we needed to be at the airport by 4:00 a.m. We were told by the staff at check-in that a taxi would be only $10. In the morning, a taxi arrived and the driver told us it was $15. The staff member agreed with the taxi driver, contradicting his own colleagues. Not too impressive!
