“History”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 20, 2013

I'm a baby boomer who served in the navy, so I find this type of exhibit very interesting. Great, too, for someone who has never been on a navy ship.

“Like Kids On a Ship...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2013

Had a marvelous time running (OK walk don't run) through the various levels of the ship and viewing the captains quarters. Found maps to peal through and completely enjoyed every moment of every level of exploring. I only wish I had planned more time on the ship before it closed.

“Wonderfull WWII Working Relic”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 1, 2013

Victory ships were a special creation of WWII. This one is maintained in sailing condition by volunteers. Actually sails once or twice a year. Adopted as museum with some exhibits and walkways. Great little tour for WWII buffs or anyone interested in steam powered ships.

“Interesting piece of history”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 13, 2013

While this wasn't the most well-kept ship we've visited, we still had an enjoyable time learning about the history of the ship. I agree with some other reviewers that getting around this ship was a little confusing (the directional markers weren't always clear and noticeable and we weren't sure we were going in the right direction) but it wasn't the end of the world. Considering that most (if not all) of the restoration work is being done by volunteers they are doing a great job.

“great ship, very interesting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 13, 2013

This was parked right next to our cruise ship so when we disembarked we decided to check it out. Very interesting and alot of information inside this ship. It took us about an hour or so to go thru it. You pretty much can walk all throughout the ship from top to bottom and see the cabins, the kitchen, bathroom(heads) etc. A little boy was even having his birthday party on board, interesting!
