Recently completed a 3-night stay based on reviews from this site. The online photos are extremely accurate. Although most of the staff members I met were nice, the service I received from "Jodi". was exceptional. She accommodated my every request with a friendly attitude and a smile. As a matter of fact, she far exceeded my customer service expectations!
Had a one-bedroom suite and loved it! The granite counters and tabletop were a wonderful added touch. For an extended stay hotel, they thought of everything including a nice glass measuring cup! My suite was not serviced but only because I didn't read my key cover to learn that you must request service on weekends. Loved the added storage closets they provide for long-term patrons (in the hallways). The facility is well appointed throughout. The business center even has a full size photo copier plus a printer! They also have a library area and a beautiful patio area for cookouts or just sitting. No charge for the use of their washers and dryers was another nice touch. The laundry room was quite clean. No loud noises when the maids were in the hallways either. The complimentary breakfast was okay. Hot food selection changed daily. However, the pool was still closed. Small but adequate exercise room also on site.
Yes, a car is needed but an abundance of shopping and eating places are less than 5 miles away (on Brandon Blvd and Causeway St). It is in a business park setting but extremely close to I-75.
This was my first experience with a Staybridge property but it won't be my last if they are all like this one at Sabal Park! Try it...you'll like it!!! Thanks Trip Advisor.

Travelling with family, including a seven year old, we looked for a hotel with a nice pool when booking. According to their own webside that's something the Tampa Staybridge should have. Well, they don't. Pool's closed due to not being approved by county officials, and they have no idea when it will reopen. There was no information given about this upon check-in, and no "we're sorry" when asking. They did offer the use of a neighbouring hotel's pool, a ten minutes walk away - yet not particularly convenient.

Rooms (2 bdr suite) were very clean and nice, better than at other Staybridges we stayed. Breakfast okay, but there weren't enough tables to eat at. Service nothing to write home about. The food at their so-called sundowners pretty gross. No free paper in the mornings (not that I particularly care, but this has been provided at other Staybridges). Wi-fi worked just fine. Pool being closed there's hardly any outdoors area at all.

The location is very rural - mostly business area, didn't see any restaurants or shop within walking distance. It's about a 20 minutes drive from Busch Gardens which was the main purpose of our trip.

  • Liked — Clean, spacious rooms.
  • Disliked — No pool.

The Staybridge seemed quite new and clean for our stay there that consisted of 3 nights. The complementary breakfast was ok - on par with other hotels in the price range.

Selected this hotel based on positive reviews and the price.

No charge for washer/dryers, which was nice.

The pool was closed, and no advance notification (or notification when we checked in) was given. Later I heard the front desk offer a nearly hotel's pool as an alternative, but this is not convenient for a quick 30-minute or hour relaxation session near the pool.

The air conditioner in the room we stayed was quite loud -- we had to turn the TV volume up when it came on (I don't thing anything was wrong with our unit, just the design/location of the
air conditioning).

Free wi-fi signal in our roon was VERY poor, had to use wired connection which worked well.

We were there for one manager's reception, and the food selection was poor (lots of unhappy people there).

Coffee pot was missing when we checked in, but it was replaced the following day.

I'd probably look elsewhere next time I need a short stay in the area, but the place seemed clean & new -- so depending on price we might stay again....

  • Liked — Hotels was new looking and clean.
  • Disliked — Air conditioner in room was loud

My husband, sons and I stayed here just for one night in order to visit Busch Gardens and Adventure Island one weekend during our 10 day vacation further down the Gulf Coast in Englewood. It was an easy drive to the parks from the Staybridge Suites and over $50 cheaper than the Embassy Suites on Fowler.

Our older son had his own space in the lounge with sofabed and my husband and I and our 9 year old shared the two double beds. The suite was clean and nicely furnished and had free wi-fi internet and two TVs. We made up the sofabed ourselves with the sheets and pillows in the wardrobe but there was no blanket provided. We also had to request a further towel as only three were supplied.

Breakfast was good with fresh fruit and juice, yogurt, cereal, waffle maker, muffins, bagels, toast and hot food. Complimentary tea and coffee was available in the lobby.

Brandon is close by and has an excellent selection of shops and restaurants.

In my opinion the hotel offers excellent value for money and we would definitely stay here again without hesitation. Enjoy your stay.

  • Liked — New accommodation offering great value and amenities for our family of four
  • Disliked — Well nothing really except the coffee.

We chose this hotel after seeing it's No. 3 Tampa hotel rating on Trip Advisor and reading previous reviews. Everything about this hotel is excellent - if you don't mind being out of town, and we didn't. There are plenty of restaurants and malls within easy driving distance so there's no problem providing you have a car.
The hotel is only 6 months old, is kept spotlessly clean and serves a good breakfast with some hot food.
The suites are absolutely huge with every facility if you want to be completely self sufficient. Some residents are business people working nearby who stay for weeks or months.
On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evening between 5.30pm and 7.30pm complimentary beer and wine are served along with snacks, adequate if you want to miss dinner!
Finally the staff who are, without exception, very friendly, cheerful and helpful, especially Peggy on reception for whom nothing is too much trouble.

  • Liked — The accommodation.
  • Disliked — Location, but not if you have a car.
