“Phenomenal arena for sporting events & concerts”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

The new owner, Jeff Vinik, has invested at least $50M in a great many upgrades. Much improved sound system & acoustics, organ, indoor lightning bolts, nice eating options, removed the glass from the suites to improve the sound, largest indoor HDTV in any arena in the US, new seats - C'mon, what more do you want to enjoy a hockey game, arena football or a concert!

“Great Night Despite Losing Effort”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 2, 2013

I went to watch the Toronto Maple Leafs play the Lightning. The arena parking is immediately adjacent to the building and everyone gets a parking spot. You don't have to park blocks away and walk for miles. The area itself is sparkling clean with comfy seating areas. The food was very good and the staff was wonderful, very friendly. The fans were very respectful. No drunken louts shouting obscenities. Everyone seemed to be having a good time.

“Tampa Bay Lightning - St. Pete Times Forum”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 30, 2013

I have attended over half a dozen Lightning games in the last three years. We usually go on my birthday or other special occasion because the tickets, food, beverages, and souvenirs are expensive. We have had seats all over the arena and have not had a bad seat yet. The venue is easy to navigate, and there are helpful employees everywhere if you get turned around. The team owner dumped a bunch of money into updating the facility recently, and it shows. There is a modern jumbo-tron, and Tesla coils shoot lightning bolts whenever the Lightning scores. SUPER cool. My father-in-law bought his employees tickets to the Premier Club and Party Area for the last game of the 2012-2013 season and invited us to attend as well. A reserved seat, dinner, dessert, beer, wine, and a small selection of liquor are all included in the ticket price, $125 a ticket. The food is slightly upscale finger food, not bad, not amazing, better than average bar food, and there is quite a variety. I know we will be back!
