“You will appreciate the shade from the trees”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

Nothing like a stroll along the boardwalk and being in a canopy of trees and...having shade!
So enjoy going to the park and taking photos. Between the birds and the turtles and the alligators you will get some nice shots. No matter if the Hillsborough River is high or low, this is a nice walk in the park!

“a true taste of Florida”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

Too hot for many, especially in the summer months but great wildlife viewing along the river boardwalk - Alligators, turtles, fish, MANY bird varieties. Birds vary depending on the time of year. We have also seen armadillo, raccoons, wild hogs, snakes, and deer. If you are looking for entertainment, this is not the place. For a leisurely walk in the woods and along the river, it is awesome. The tower is definitely worth the climb... if you like nature. Be sure to bring bug spray!!

Saw lots of wildlife. The trails were nice. Lots of different things to find. The young ones liked it too.

“quiet spot”

Lovely to walk round the boardwalk and see lots of wildlife but disappointed that the observation tower was closed. Well worth a visit.
