“a true taste of Florida”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

Too hot for many, especially in the summer months but great wildlife viewing along the river boardwalk - Alligators, turtles, fish, MANY bird varieties. Birds vary depending on the time of year. We have also seen armadillo, raccoons, wild hogs, snakes, and deer. If you are looking for entertainment, this is not the place. For a leisurely walk in the woods and along the river, it is awesome. The tower is definitely worth the climb... if you like nature. Be sure to bring bug spray!!

Lovely to walk round the boardwalk and see lots of wildlife but disappointed that the observation tower was closed. Well worth a visit.

“amazing!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2013

Such a fab place for people of all ages to visit. Were amazed at how much wildlife we saw. Great for bird watchers and only $2 per car to enter. Lots of places to picnic but nowhere to buy refreshments so make sure you take water. This is also wheel chair friendly and great for those with mobility issues
