“Beware of Batting Practice RULES!!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed March 19, 2014

We recently went to spring at Steinbrenner Field and had a bad experience during batting practice. We came very early to take in the fly balls and watch the Orioles vs the Yankees on March 13, 2014. Unfortunately we meet an usher who would only allow my son to go into Walgreen outfield deck to catch balls. He had a ONE ball limit. Not sure if this is a Yankee rule or an old grumpy man rule. However, beware that he strictly enforced this rule and as soon as my son had got a ball, would not allow us to stay in this section to stand and watch the BATTING PRACTICE!!! This is not the same experience as my family has had at other spring training parks where people are allowed to explore and ENJOY the park. It was a very disappointing experience. I would recommend other parks that are more relaxed and allow fans to enjoy the park and interact with the players.

“Yankees Fan Heaven!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2014

Even if you don't have tickets, you can watch player practice for free in the outlying fields, sitting as close as if you were at a Little League game! Plus the players come to the fence to sign autographs and pose for photos. Although it's billed as free, you have to pay $10 for regular public parking. Food is expensive but they won't let you bring anything in, so you're sort of stuck for something to eat inside Steinbrenner. But it's worth it all. There are not bad seats and you're sitting with die-hard fans, no matter what game you attend.

“great But !!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2014

Learned the hard way to buy tickets directly from Yankees, and avoid other ticket sellers like ticketron and stubhub etc. Thank G-D for Irwin who was a great help and 93 yr old Vinny was a hoot - what a treasure!
But hot dogs were undercooked. If you are disabled, they have special seating areas to aid you. Not a bad seat in the house. Hope I get a chance to return.
