We picked this hotel because the location seemed ideal--it borders on Soho and Hyde Park, two young residential areas of Tampa and near the bay. We didn't need the convention center or downtown. We wanted to explore Tampa's residential parts, drive to local beaches and attractions, and be close to some local restaurants for dinner. Our room was a good size, quiet, with a super-comfortable bed and great TV. Loved the shower. Very nice staff, who were helpful and accommodating. The parking does cost money, but Wifi is free--more than a fair tradeoff. Their rooftop bar is really nice, and a great place for a group. We walked to several restaurants that were on the same street, which was great after driving everywhere during the day. Would recommend this for couples who want a Tampa vacation.
