The Epicurean was so long in being built and so over hyped in its opening that the timing and followup on details was inconsistent during the early days. Attention to detail is what this hotel and the shops and restaurants should be about and they are getting better. Elevage, the restaurant inside the hotel has the best chef in town and still one of the weirdest menus, BUT, the food is very good. What I would hope for is that people would not have to walk across the street to Bern's Steak House, when the potential for the best food in town is right there in house. The activities around the hotel are worth the time to check out the schedule before arriving to fit your time at the Epicurean around the featured events being staged in the theater, wine shop, and restaurant. You are so close to Hyde Park and Bayshore venues that you can also plan many other things to do in Tampa, so come and enjoy! We live here and drive thru many hours of traffic from Wesley Chapel to take advantage of this great facility.
