“Very nice little beach park”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2014

Cypress Point Park is just perfect to go relax and watch the kids play in the park or in the water.Just close enough is in the junction of traveling on 275 or the Franklen bridge. We watch the planes passing from TPA airport.some people like fishing too.

“Kind of a "Redneck Riviera" Spot”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2014

Not attractive and limited beach or water access. In the flightpath of airplanes landing and taking off at nearby Tampa International. Safe and a somewhat fun spot, but so many other more desirable beach and picnic areas to choose from in the immediate Tampa Bay area.

“Nice beachy area.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 3, 2014

This is a nice area to have a picnic, there are pavilions and a playground. We found some beautiful shells and flamingos.

“PARADISE BEHIND INDUSTRIAL AREA”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2014

Whodathought behind all these boring business buildings there was a little bit of natural paradise?

THINGS AND PLACES TO GO
The main hub contains a few small pagodas and small picnic tables for eating. There’s not enough grass for games of football or soccer, but maybe an impromptu Frisbee hangout. A pretty cool, new playground will definitely keep the kids (and fun adults) occupied. With bathrooms nearby and a decent-sized parking lot, this is a great, small, clean park offering quiet in a surprising area. There’s a few small trails that lead through the short trees good for walking or biking. (The future say there will soon be a trail connecting this park with the nearby Causeway.) This can be a great place for launching kayaks.

THIN EXPLORATIONS
Did I mention this is along the Tampa Bay waterfront? While the distant views of the Causeway Bridge are not exactly peace inducing, there are still pretty good panoramic views to see. The ‘beach’ is rather thin (three feet or less wide) but it wraps around most of the park. Following that beach around all the overhanging bushes leads you to some pretty secluded, visually calm areas. My partner and I gleefully tried to chase down the hundreds of tiny crabs scurrying into their holes upon our approach.

“Lovely quiet beach with a play area for kids”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 21, 2014

We came on a Weds afternoon. Beach was easy to find, ample parking. The water was very calm, and though there wasn't a vast "beach" expanse, the shoreline itself was long enough to take a great walk and just enjoy the peace and quiet. There was no crowd, just a handful of other people. We were able to collect a lot of really pretty shells. Not ideal for swimming and water play, but more as a scenic overlook area and just to get your feet wet. A great play area for kids is onsite as well - teeter-totter, jungle gym, a couple slides and climbing areas with some soft rubber underfoot.
