“June birthday celebration”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 7, 2014

Friday night three of us who had birthdays enjoyed an amazing dinner with family. From the best Lobster bisque, amazing pasta and all entrees, even dessert was fantastic! The service is always exceptional. Reheated our leftovers on Sat night and still yummy. Can't wait to return.

“Tampa's Best Italian”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 6, 2014

This place is amazing. Chef Lauro prepares everything fresh daily. Whether you're looking for pasta, lasagna or a filet in a peppercorn sauce this is the place. High end table side service with neighborhood charm. This Tampa Italian gives it five stars and could eat there every day. Bravo.

“Old Family Italian!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 29, 2014

Don't let the appearance deceive you! This is a true gem! Italian staff dressed to the nines, very attentive and helpful. This is a beautiful restaurant, great for couples or adult gathering. And the food is outstanding! They make their own bread, buffalo mozzarella, and handmade pastas. I had the fettuccine bolognese and caprese salad. Portions are generous and price is fair.

“Outsanding original Italian restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 20, 2014

Seldom do I rave about Italian cuisine. I was pleasantly surprised finding Lauros.

Originally an upscale Italian restaurant in Washington DC, Chef Lauro is still kitchen creating his magic.

I had the Lasagña it was spectacular. The Lobster bisque is to die for. My wife had the Scaloppine Villanova, it was exquisite. I sampled my Moms Agnolotti alla Pana... a new height of taste and elegance.

I has the priviledge of meeting Lauro and his lovely wife- I insisted. His vast exprience is only surpassed by the exquisite balance of his food grounded in the traditional simplicity of this cuisine.

The ambiance of the restaurant is pleasantly inviting, cozy and familiar. I highly recommend this fine restaurant.

“Old World Perfection”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 19, 2014

We have been going to Lauro's for almost 20 years and have never ever had a bad meal. Lauro and Maria are amazing family people and make you feel like you are eating at their house. The service is excellent and every server sincerely cares that you feel at home.

Our fav is asking for a half order of agnolotti to start - AMAZING! Not on the menu but just ask and they will make it happen.

If you like garlic this is your place for spaghetti and white clam sauce or salmon with crab meat.
Everything is excellent and I promise you will feel like family without the drama:-)

You can go with a group of people and make yourself an awesome party night out or just for two romantic candle light night out. I would say maybe not the best place for kids.
