“Longest. Meal. Ever.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 21, 2013

Jackson's is in a beautiful location, and if you have 3 hours to spend on a meal and want to sit outside on the water, then this might be the place for you. Our table of four stopped by after a convention (right across the street from the Tampa Convention Center, convenient to the Tampa Marriott Waterside and Embassy Suites). Maybe they weren't prepared for a convention crowd on a Sunday night, but everything took FOREVER. Got our first drink after 45 minutes, bread an hour and a half in, meals close to two hours after being seated. Hard to fault our waiter, who was literally RUNNING around the restaurant, but if there are delays at the kitchen or the bar, it's nice to get updates, refills on water, or an acknowledgement that we're still waiting (none of the above). The food was good and the atmosphere was great, just a very slow experience.

“Worth a Drink For The Waterside View”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2013

The food was overpriced for the medicore taste. Good service but that doesn't make the meal taste better. I had some kinda pasta dish with might have been chicken.

“Worth a second trip.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 19, 2013

Had some friends in from out of town at the convention center so we decided to meet at Jackson's for lunch. First, I figured I'd pay for parking since its right on Harbor Island so I was pleasantly surprised to see they validated parking for the garage just below the restaurant which is also attached to the Westin hotel. The food was very good, I had a cobb salad and a sushi roll. The house dressing, a shallot vinaigrette was a very nice change and the fish in the sushi roll was very fresh. Even with a packed house due to the event at the convention center our server was very attentive & prompt. If I find myself downtown again I'd definitely like to try out their dinner menu.

“Great service, Good Food and Nice view!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 17, 2013

Perfect location just steps from the Tampa Bay lightning arena, poised on the water’s edge. The venue has a inviting appeal and the staff is pleasant and playful. The food is creative and delicious, but the specials run out quickly. The wine list is brief but brilliant and features some items that enable a degree of “newness” to those that enjoy wines that are not of the traditional varietals and possess interesting flavor profiles from seldom represented terriors. Certainly a good destination for a meal, but don’t be put off by it’s facade as it tends to appear much like a tourist trap typical of other “wharf-side” properties.

“Nice place for a quiet dinner”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 16, 2013

Went here on the recommendation of the hotel staff. Decent pork chop ... the pork chop at the restaurant in the hotel we were staying at was better though. Nice view of the river though, so they get a point for that. Includes two hour parking as well.
