We went on a Tuesday night, there were only 12 people in the restaurant. They were out of seaweed for the seaweed salad and it took almost 30 minutes to get 2 overpriced rolls. Prices are EXTREMELY high compared to the sushi restaurants we eat at when back home, about twice the price - and ours INCLUDE salad and Miso Soup. Will I ever go back when in Tampa visiting relatives? HIGHLY unlikely.
Samurai Blue is by far the best in Tampa. It is located in Ybor City at Centro Ybor. Try the spontaneous combustion rolls, they are awesome. Usually a packed house until around 11:00 on the weekends and can be noisy as the crowd is generally late 20's through 30's and having a good time.
The sushi is incredible. servers are good, helpful...bar drinks are not great...still worth it for the sushi alone...one of the best sushi places in Tampa
