“Weeki Wachee paddle”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 21, 2013 via mobile

There were four of us on this trip, including a 12 and 18 year old. All of us had a fantastic time on this beautiful and crystal clear river. We saw lots of fish, birds, a couple of Manatee and even had an 8 point buck follow us along the river for a spell. Mac was an excellent guide, he was very knowledgeable about the animals we saw, and always had an eye out for our well being. We had a great day and I would highly recommend this company.

“Education and Adventure”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 9, 2013

My 13 year old son tried Kayaking at camp and has wanted to go on a local adventure since the summer. I found a discount voucher for Florida Eco Adventures at travelzoo.com and gave it to him for Hanukkah. Thanks to Florida weather we were able to book a day before X-mas. The guide/owner (Mac) runs a semi-tight ship and knows how to be both flexible and patient with newbies and those of us who don't get out on the water very often. We came to find out that he is also a Biology teacher at a local high school and not only knows about the local fish and fauna, but is as enthusiastic about spotting a manatee or finding a fossil as his guests. The equipment is geared towards weekend adventurers in that the kayak's and gear and sold and stable and in excellent condition. The full-price for the day might be a bit high, but the company offers plenty of discount options for educators, students, and active military. Whether you are a local or visiting from out of town, this is an excellent opportunity to enjoy some light adventuring and sightseeing away from the amusement parks and traffic.

“Kayak/Fossil hunting trip on the Peace River”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2013

My friend & I booked this trip with Mac. We had never been kayaking before. It was great fun, we found lots of fossils, including sharks teeth, petrified bones, alligator teeth and other great treasures. The weather was perfect & the water was very refreshing. Mac was a wonderful guide & knew a lot about the fossils that we were looking for and right where to look to find them. He took the time to explain every aspect of the trip as well as took a genuine interest in his group members. I would recommend this trip for family or friends for a relaxing day on the water.

“Sublime”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2013

My husband, daughter, and I had a wonderful adventure in a sublime setting on Crystal River with Suzanne and Mac and the great group of paddlers we met that day.
Snorkeling in Seven Sisters Spring was a highlight as was spotting some manatees as they came up for air. We also saw turtles, egrets, herons, and cormorants, among other fauna. The surroundings were beautiful. It was a peak experience for me. Mac and Suzanne are very knowledgeable and very entertaining. They were a big part of what made the trip enjoyable. Highly recommend. Would like to return to participate in the other adventures they offer.

“Kayaking down the mighty Chass.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2013

The trip was made so great by our great leader. Florida Eco-adventures arrives on time, with great equipment and a fantastic attitude. We had a great time on the river and really enjoyed the info and antidotes that Mac provided. We felt like we had been friends for years. This company is great and we are planning our next adventure with lots of friends. Thanks again Mac for a super day!
