“A must when in Tampa”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2014

This was a definite highlight in our trip through Florida. The tour was very enlightening, the theatre is beautiful and such a surprise. Loved the architecture and all of the information on the how and why it was built. As others already stated the organ is such a wonderful bonus.

“Wonderful Theatre for a Wonderful Life”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 22, 2014

We saw the Christmastime performance of It's a Wonderful Life at this wonderful theatre. What a treat.

Get to the movies EARLY! This place has amazing pre-show entertainment. Start with a cocktail or beer from the full bar. Add a tasty bag of popcorn and then settle in for pre-show music by an organist at an old-fashioned organ. They even have sing-alongs where you can follow the bouncing ball.

This is a great venue for old time movies. A Fantastic date night!

The only drawback. . . . parking. Expect to pay for it. There are no free spaces downtown.

“Unique theatre experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 21, 2014

The Tampa Theatre is architecturally something to see. Enjoyed the pre movie music interlude on the Wurlitzer organ that rises on the stage from below and disappears below at the movie start time. There is only one feature per day and it looks like on week days it starts at 7:30 p.m. The on street parking is free after 6 p.m.

“Gorgeous architecture - a must-visit attraction in Tampa”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 14, 2014

The most gorgeous cinema I've ever visited. The architecture is absolutely beautiful and evokes an old-world charm. The organ prior to shows is a really nice touch. They have a great selection of films too!

“Nostalgic”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 12, 2014

Tampa Theatre is a gem in downtown Tampa! My husband and I view classic movies there, as well as take the grandchildren to expose them to a real movie theatre!! Do take the backstage tour!
