This is best visited during the winter months as the water is colder away from the energy plant so the manatees crowd together. The water released from the plant is warm and that is what manatees are looking for to stay warm. There is a huge viewing platforms and there were 50+ manatees there in February. Once the water outside the plant warms up they will leave and go exploring. However once the water starts to cool down they return every year. There is a visitor center and learning center for all ages. This is a great place to visit during the winter months
