“Great facility”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2013

Loved being able to watch the manatees basking in the sun. It was amazing to see them all cluster together and seem oblivious to the people watching them. Great informative guide centre as well.

“Such an awesome place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 9, 2013

I love this viewing center. It is an awesome experience to be that close to the animals & learn so much about what is out in the surrounding waters of Florida. The people who work there are very friendly & knowledgeable (doesn't hurt that one of them is my Grandfather!) Regardless this location alone is worth a stop!

“Natural environment”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

Great place to get a quick education on the manatee and see them in their natural environment. Unfortunately, the red algae made it a bad year for them and we actually saw crews towing one of these gentle creatures away. Nice little free sidetrip.

“Manatees”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

Always have a good visit viewing the Manatees at the TECO Manatee Viewing Center. The facility is well maintained and staffed with people who are very knowledgeable about the Manatee.

“Go see the manatees!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2013

It's such a cool little area. The warm water from the electric plant draws the manatees during the colder months. You see tons of them! There is also a little gift shop where you can buy adorable manatee stuff. And if you don't get enough of the sea cows while you are there, you can go to the website and watch on the webcam. You can even move the webcam to where ever you want to see!
