“To coffee or not to coffee, pre-manatees?”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

The manatee viewing center is always a hit with my guests from the Frozen North.

Coffee? Well, the place is so laid back that it's a valid question, have a cuppa before visiting, or go au naturel, so to speak.

Honest, people of every age enjoy a visit here. Go when it's cold out. The manatees are drawn to the warm water outflow from the electric plant.

The manatees slumber in the waters below your walkway. Their smallest movement garners gasps of pleasure from the onlookers. Baby manatees are as adorable as puppies. Inspired, you hit the gift shop for some gotta-have manatee sox. Life is good.

“I must be missing where to see them”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2012

We drove an hour, only to find out they are closed until November 1, when the "season" starts. Not sure how long they have been closed as I see others were there just a few weeks ago.

Drove by here geocaching and came in for the first time in 20 years, I really liked watching the Manatees and it was a quick trip, not a lot to see but a pleasure at that.
