Heard that this was a good sushi restaurant and that they had half price after 10 PM.
We went there around 11 on a Saturday night with a group of friends. We were stopped at the entrance and asked whether we were there for food only, or if we were going to have drinks. We said we were undecided about the drinks, so they put a paper bracelet on our right wrists in case we decided to drink, [I suppose to separate us from the underage kids], and instructed us to find a seat and a waitress would take our order.
When we went in we were surprised. It didn’t look like any other sushi bar I have seen.
It was very large dark club with non-stop Techno Rock at ear splitting volume and packed with very young people in disco costume. We found an outside porch area, but could not get to open seating because it was very narrow with no place to walk past the seated people. Everyone was drinking and there was no sign of food.
We went back through the restaurant and found another entry to the outside seating area, where we found a table and sat down. There were no menus on the tables, so we waited for a waitress. After about a half hour, we spotted a waitress and asked her about the menus. She told us that we were supposed to sign up at the door for food, and that it was unlikely that we would be served, even though they supposedly serve food and appetizers until 2:00 AM.
We walked over to Chili’s where we were immediately seated and had a great meal and excellent service.
