We stayed here the night prior to our honeymoon cruise and was granted an upgrade to the 27th floor. The view was "WOW!" This hotel shows marina and water views from basically all rooms. Some have balconies but if (like us) you find the Tampa heat and humidity over bearing you might not appreciate the so-called "fresh air". Our room stunk like old musty sneakers but gladly the air cond. kept it pleasantly cool. The main hotel foyer is attractive (and particularly chilly) and offers free wi-fi. There are few dining options in the locale so we were grateful for the Starbucks right across the road. We hiked a sweltering 10 - 15 minutes to a find yummy little Italian restaurant on the other side of the canal. No robes offered on executive floor and the bathroom amenities were basic; the room was generally clean. I wouldn't say this is one of the nicest Marriott stays, even with the upgrade however the location was so close to where our cruise ship departed from so we braved the swelter yet again and did the bag-drag to the ship terminal from the hotel.
