“Very Nice Hotel”

I would highly recommend this hotel if you need to stay in the westshore business district or downtown tampa. Extremely well maintained and very clean. Suites are very spacious, with a separate bedroom that has a door which closes. It is a somewhat older hotel that clearly has been kept up very very well. I have stayed at a number of hotels in the Westshore area with the same star rating as this one. And clearly this one is much nicer. Free parking. My only critism, is they charge for wifi in the room at $10 per day. In this day and age, they really need to change that policy. Other then that, highly recommend.

We decided to stay an extra day and checkout of our other hotel and checked into the Sheraton. It was a total upgrade. The hotel entry is beautiful with a lush green indoor garden. Our room was on the sixth floor. Two of the four elevator are not working. They are updating the sytem. Even with that, it was a terrible wait. You just have to time it right. Our room had a view of the expressway, but heard no noise. Room was clean, included a mini fridge, microwave and coffe maker (starbucks). Two 42in tv's, one in the living room(pull our couch) and one in the bedroom. The bed is very, very soft. Had breakfast downstairs $12.90 with tax, all you can eat buffet. Food was very good. They had everything from eggs, bacon, oatmeal, cearal, fruit and more. Would stay again.Very busy weekend, Buccs were playing at Raymond James Stadium.

Four elevators service the entire hotel. Two of them haven't worked in 17 months.
Needed to do laundry, machines are literally outside, and coin operated not well marked. There is no coin machine.
Hotel rooms are in need of repair, rusted door jambs, door handles frozen.
Beds were very comfortable. There are much better values in Tampa, stay here last

Thank you for sharing your feedback on your recent stay. I apologize for the inconveniences you encountered. Yes, two of our four elevators are being updated with digital controls but that work just started the first of December. It is true, our vending and laundry areas are just outside of the guestroom corridors but covered from the elements. This is not uncommon in Florida and a benefit is that it keeps the noise more removed from guest rooms. By private email, I hope to learn the suite number you occupied so we can insure repairs have been made. I am sorry that your stay was not what you expected. I take all feedback as positive so we can continually improve.

Very disappointed in this hotel. After spending 8 nights at the wonderful Four Points in Punta Gorda this was a major disappointment. The room had a leak above the toilet and the bed lamp had an issue with the socket hanging. In addition the room was very dingy, needed more light. I took this to the front desk twice but after 3 nights it still was not fixed. Didn't find all of the front desf people to be friendly. We found the menu in the restaurant not to be very good. The staff in the restaurant were not overly prompt attending to us.

I also got this hotel on hotwire and was very impressed. The two room suite had two nice TV's, the sitting room had a sofa and a large desk with a good desk lamp and a rerigerator. If you are there and need to work, it is a good room. The only negative is that they charge $9.95 a day for internet access, but parking is free.
All rooms encircle a central atruim. One thing they have done is to inclose the sidelight windows along the doors to the rooms.. I really like that because everyone can just walk by your room and now with there being no windows, you don't have to keep adjusting the curtains.

While the bathroom is a bit small, they do have cubbys under the sink to put your stuff so you can keep the top of the sink clear. The hairdryer is in the closet, so if you are looking for it, it is not in the bathroom.

They also have in-room starbucks coffee which is a nice addition. The front desk staff was very cordial. I was lucky to have a room clear at the end of the hall which looked out the side of the building. I-75 is in the back of the building and W. Cypress road in the front. Not sure if you face either of those, if there is a noise level. I was right next to the outside staircase, which enabled me to get down the one flight of stairs to my car in less than a minute. It is quite a hike to the elevators that are in the center of the atrium. It is a quick few minutes drive to the International Mall.

I would stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for the rooms at the very end of the halls.

For those without a car, our shuttle service provides complimentary transportation to all destinations within three miles of the hotel including International Plaza Mall and Westshore Plaza which combine for well over 300 stores. Hope to see you on your next trip.

We stayed here one night before a cruise, and were not impressed.

The rooms look worn and need to be refreshed. Bathrooms were small and tired-looking. In general, nothing stood out with the room.

The restaurant food was ok but the service was poor. Our waitress failed on so many levels: didn't know how to spell seltzer, didn't bring us what we requested, and at the end asked if we wanted separate checks (I was with 2 children). Very bizarre.

The local shuttle was great; I needed to purchase some items and the driver took me to a couple of local stores. This was probably the best part of our stay.

Will not stay here again.

I am mobility challenged and requested an accessbile room. The hotel is set up around a large glass covered atrium. It is beautiful - however very difficult to navigate. The front desk is at the front of the building. The handicapped suites are in the rear of the building. That makes for a very long walk to and from the lobby. The elevators are on one side of the rear promenade and the accesible rooms are on the other side of the promenade. I am aware that the hotel was retrofitted to meet American with Disabilities Act standards but the accessible suites should have been made in the front of the hotel near to the front elevators. Once inside the suite, it was very nicely laid out, very comfortable and roomy.
