“A Hit in Seminole Heights”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 4, 2014

My family had an outstanding experience at Ella's.The decor is quirky and funky. The food is a little pricey for comfort food, but the quality is exceptional. We tried two of their Kentucky Derby Specials. The pear, bacon, and brie burger was cooked to perfection and had a very unique flavor. The beef tenderloin, in their award winning mac & cheese, was delicious. I would love the recipe. We also had an order of the Tartar tacos. They were tasty and quite unique. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and had a great sense of humor. The outdoor space was large and looked like it would be perfect for a romantic dinner. It does get very crowded and they don't take reservations, so be prepared to wait. That being said, they had a very lively bar crowd and the time passed quickly. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening and can't wait to try the Soul Food Sunday.

“Funky, Casual and Friendly with Lots of Outdoor Seating”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 1, 2014

Enjoyed a night out with my family last night. I had the Beef Tenderloin entree, my partner, the Pork Chop and our 13 y.o. ordered the Chicken Porta-Pesto Pizza. We all raved about the quality and taste of our food. The service was a little on the slow side, however. And, we waited a good 30 minutes for a table (near the kitchen - not recommended). As this was my first experience at Ella's, overall it was a memorable one. But, I would go earlier and try to sit outside where it's more conducive to an engaging conversation. Plant to wait, otherwise, due to the popularity of this place.

“Food is good but service is bad”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 24, 2014

While waiting on our table at the bar, we ordered two drinks and they took our credit card to run a tab. When were alerted that our table was ready, we paid cash for our drinks and the card was returned to us. When our credit card bill arrived they charged us again for the drinks.

Not cool.

“Perfect Hidden Gem in Tampa Bay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 5, 2014

The place alone is interesting and a fun experience and then the food just adds to it all. They usually have live music, eclectic art all over the place and the food is AWESOME!
