“Cool place with great food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2014 credit card Amex Card Member Review

This was a fun girls dinner! The atmosphere is funky and fun and our server was great. We started with the rasta-fries which are wedges with a spicy sriacha drizzle. My friend and I split the Mediterranean pizza (6 pieces) and the veggie burger which was the best veggie burger I have every had! Friends enjoyed the bacon wrapped meatloaf and the salmon salad with goat cheese. Our waitress surprised us with a complimentary peanut butter empanada for a birthday we were celebrating. VERY delicious!

“SO disappointed!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed January 19, 2014

We were a group of 6. Food was only "regular" (just nothing exciting or better-than-average in taste or substance). We had an allergic reaction which we believe was due to bacon (from their chocolate-covered bacon dessert) being fried in something shell fish (her allergy) had been fried in previously, even though they were advised of this allergy. We are not a group of light-weights, but 1 cocktail a piece and sharing our 2nds between us left 3/4 of us very intoxicated. And when you don't expect that (the reason we split our 2nds) it leaves you to wonder what is going on behind the bar. We will likely never be a patron here again.
Oh, and my favorite- when one of our girls made a comment of her drink being a tad strong (and the simple solution would have been to take it back to the bar and add a bit more juice/seltzer/mixer), we were told by the waiter, "well, we don't return drinks."

“Worth a try”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 26, 2013

Amazing casual dining. The food and service are a real treat. The crab stuffed squash appetizer is worth going for by itself. Always try the daily special.

“Artistic Unique Exquisite Creative”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 8, 2013

We discovered this restaurant a few months ago and have been coming back ever since. I describe the food as a work of art; very exquisite. The brunch on Sundays is outstanding; the theme is soul food, but like I said everything in this restaurant is creative and delicious; collard greens and sweet potato salad were one of my favorites. The pizza on Wednesdays is fabulous; ultimately creative; nothing in this restaurant is common but rather unique and delicious; the Thai curry dish is awesome. There is a little bit of everything for every taste and the prices are affordable. The staff is happy, pleasant and very efficient. Love the live music on Thursdays. I recommend this restaurant 100%.

“Always memorable and always delicious!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 24, 2013

I have been to Ellas on many different occasions! It is one of my very favorite restaurants in Tampa. The Vino burger is the best! Also, we went there for sunday brunch. Sunday is "soul food sundays" and they have a blood mary with a huge rib in it!!!! We always bring visitors to this quirky, unique, and delicious restaurant. This is not for dieters!
