The hotel is older. The bedroom to the suite we had was too small for the 2 queen beds. One was right up against the door. The tv's were out of date, the reception was poor and there were only a few channels. The staff was friendly. The US Today newspapers were not updated. One per week I guess.
The restaurant is only open in the morning and at night. We did not eat there but a friend staying there also said the food was good. The smell was good.
I would choose a different hotel in the future.

We stayed here for several days while visiting Busch Gardens. The hotel is very close to the park (only a few minutes drive away). The staff was friendly, and the rooms were OK - the carpet in our room could have used a deep cleaning shampoo (or just being replaced). The bed was good, and we really liked being in a suite with a bedroom that had a closing door. I wish they had a free continential breakfast, however that was easily worked around by getting some cereal and milk from a local grocery store (the room had a fridge).

I'd probably stay here again, but I hope they get the give the carpets some TLC - that was the only thing keeping this from being a perfect stay.

I was greatly disappointed as I wanted to get away from it all. The service was slow and unattentive. When I got to my room it was so dirty. When I told the employee, they ignored me and didn't do anything to compensate for it. On top of that my room was dry and humid. When I went to use the bathroom the toilet was smelly and dirty with lots of hair over the toilet seat.
When I ate at their restaurant, my fiance and I got sick for two weeks and had to go to the hospital. It was bad...real bad. One of the worse choices I have ever made...

I'll admit....I was a little shaky about checking in here. The reviews were "ALL over the place..". I'd look at the pictures...look at the reviews...call the hotel ask questions....blah..blah..blah.

I'm almost 70....so I don't need any bull.

Well I thought..I have a good rate...it is a suite...I can always check out the next day. So I confirmed my reservations and arrived about 7pm on the 5th of July. (I originally had booked the room for 4 weeks. But confirmed for 2 days only.) ( yea the reviews got to me...I said I was almost 70 )

GUESS WHAT ? During my first 2 days here I could find nothing wrong. So I extended...then I extended again...and again. Ok...2 nights ago the locust were making such a racket it reminded me of being home in farm country.I even opened my window. Then there was the rain that got the sidewalks wet. When the sun comes up it makes it hotter than heck when you walk outside. Once the housekeeping ask me if I " needed my room cleaned ? " I said "no"...she "wanted to clean it"..I said "no" again.

This is not a 5 Star Hotel. But is one of the best 3.5 Star Hotels I've ever been in.

If we could rate the exterior...the pool area....the patios separate from the rooms....they get a 5 STAR. If you could rate the Staff separate from the rooms...they get a 5 STAR. If you could rate the bus service to Busch Gardens ...that for sure is a 5 STAR.

I would recommend this place to any group...any individual.....to my family...( I have )...YOUNG...OLD...in between.
