This is a good zoo but not an elite one. It does have some things that a typical zoo doesn't have which gives it a small bump in my rating. If I had paid full price for my visit I would not have been satisfied. The cost is $25 for adults, $20 for children 3-11 and children under 3 are free. Once a month, the zoo offers admission for $6 per person. I recommend taking advantage of this or purchasing a family annual pass. Yes, it was more crowded than usual but not to a ridiculous degree. There are also plenty of add-on costs if you choose to do so. There are a number of attraction rides mainly geared toward small children to tweens (small roller coaster, flume, train, bumper boats, etc.). You can buy individual tickets to these or spend $15 per person for unlimited rides for the day. There is a dinosaur discover/play area that is an extra $4 per person. A couple of interactive/feeding opportunities are offered, but of course at an additional cost. There are two splash water areas that are free and a must on a hot day. The variety of animals is very good. The habitats are a good size and life like. A little too much so...plenty of blind spots and shade for animals that want to camp out and hide on a hot day. The park is broken up into the following areas: Kids area (most of the rides, splash area and petting zoo), Africa, Asia, Florida (panther, manatee, flamingo, fox, stingrays, etc.), and the Dinosaur area. I believe the Dinosaur area is a temporary exhibit that can change. Our highlights of the day (I went with my wife and our married friends and between us we had a 5, 3 and 2 year old) were the tiger, petting the stingrays, the merry-go-round and the splash pad.
