We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Tampa Airport Westdshore on July 10 largely because of its location. Literally just minutes from the airport, the hotel is located in a new and vibrant part of Tampa. The inn is newly constructed and it shows. Bright, cheerful, clean and comfortable with a welcoming and helpful staff. We reserved two rooms---a standard double and a double mini-suit. Both were excellent choces. The rooms were exceptionally clean and the beds were so comfortable that most of us went to bed early and slept in a bit late. Check-in was a breeze as was check-out. Pick up service at the airport was beyond fast. By the time we walked to the designated pick-up point the shuttle to the inn was already there waiting for us. The driver was a gem, handling all our luggage and inviting us into the van to find a comfortable seat. Within minutes we were off our plane and in our room. Amazing! The other reason we selected this particular inn was because it is located right next door to A-1 Express, the van service which provides transportation to and from the airport and to and from the cruise facility. A-1 has a five story covered and secure garage which will keep your car while you are on a cruise, all at a reasonable rate. They also pick you up at the crusie terminal at the end of our vacation. Their drivers are beyond friendly, with bubbly, infectious personalities. How can you miss on this deal? A comfortable, clean hotel with aminities (bar and restaurant) and ground transportation to/from the airport and the Port of Tampa Authority. TIP: Most cruisers stay in downtown Tampa and pay downtown prices simply because they think it is an advantage to be near the port facilities. If you like crowds and a high rise hotel, then by all means stay in downtown. If, however, you like a bit of space and lower hotel prices, then consider Westshore. Many hotels in the area, including Hilton Garden Inn, are only a very short distance from International Mall, a fantastic facility of shops and excellent restaurants.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing downtown. It's more interesting than the backside, and you don't get...

We arrived around Midnight. Our reservation clearly indicated allergies to feathers. Room was stocked only with Down Pillows. Desk agent did not have keys to get a pliiow. Asked to speak to a manager. A manager, Charles Angeles was called at home and refused to speak to us. He told the attendant to call other hotels in the area (Marriott and Homewood). Neither had any non-Down Pillows. My wife had to sleep on the bolster as a pillow.

No one from management was available the next moring up till 9:00 to speak to. Received 5000 Honors points for the "service issue". Needless to say, this hotel needs some management attention. I escalated to Hilton Corp. and heard nothing.

This how they treat frequent stay-ers. Will not return.

My mother and I came to Tampa for a funeral. We were only in town overnight. The Hilton Garden was very convenient to the airport. It has complimentary shuttle service which was very much appreciated.
The room was very clean. The beds were the most comfortable I have had in a hotel in a long time. I would not hesitate to return to a Hilton Garden again.
The front desk personel were very helpful with suggestions of places to eat. They offered maps and other in town information.
It was also a nice touch that we had complimentary water and coffee. There was a Starbucks right inside as well if we did not want the hotel coffee.
My next trip requiring a hotel will definitely be a Hilton Garden if I can find one.

We recently added the Starbuck's Kiosk in our lobby as a convenience to our customers that enjoy Starbuck's coffee. We have received similar feedback, in that it is a nice "time saver"
for those that had been traveling to the closet Starbuck's location and then waiting in a long line.

The housekeeping staff deserves accolades for an outstanding job! Each day when I returned to my room, it was clean, fresh and restored to the perfect condition that I found on my arrival.

The front desk personnel gives everyone a pleasant and warm greeting when they enter the hotel and provide all pertinent information regarding the facility, its amenities, parking, etc.

I found the restaurant staff to be friendly, efficient, and helpful. The food was prepared well and served in a timely manner making the dining experience most enjoyable.

Room Tip: Choose a room not near the elevators.

I was extremely pleased with my recent stay at this Hilton Garden Inn. The location is convenient to the Airport and shopping. The room I got was excellent with a beautiful view of the pool. The staff was fabulous and friendly. I ate several meals at the hotel and was very pleased with the quality. I would highly recommend this to anyone staying in the Tampa area.

My family and I loved everything about this new hotel from the beautiful exterior and interior to the clean, spacious and comfortable double bedroom. Although we didn't have a reservation, Kristen at the front desk was extremely friendly,helpful and took care of us in the most efficient manner. We enjoyed the delicious pizza in the modern Coast restaurant and the pool was immaculate. The International Mall was just around the corner and that was an added bonus, plus the hotel even has a free shuttle to take you there and back. How great! We will return the next time in Tampa!

The restaurant and bar here is better than any full service Hilton! The fresh fish is better than most expensive restaurants in the area and the bar is fully stocked, with some decent higher end wine brands. Best pizza in town. Oh, a Starbucks machine also. A wounderful staff and a great pool area. Highly recommend for business trip and families.

Room Tip: ask for the rooms that have an extra sitting area.
