Aug 8 was our first visit to the Bucs. We are not from Tampa, so I reviewed the stadium FAQs after buying our tickets. We're in our 60s and my husband is limited in how much he can walk.
I called and left a message to make 5pm reservations at the Lower Galley. My call was returned; reservations were made without a problem. This would allow us to sit and eat a leisurely dinner after the hotel shuttle dropoff.
What a surprise at 5pm when we were denied seating. The hostess thought she was doing 'her job' enforcing 'the rules' that we weren't Club members, but she couldn't even offer him a stool to sit on to wait to til 6 pm until the gates opened. Nor was any assistance provided by an older gentleman supervising the area. At 5pm all the tables in the restaurant were empty!
RJ Stadium needs to add clear info to the web FAQs explaining their 'Club only' membership policy (whatever that means) as well as on the Lower Galley's phone message. (After all, I have an exclusive Club membership to Costco, too). I'm sorry I assumed being willing to pay $90 with reservations for dinner allowed 'exclusive' admission.
They should also consider providing staff more compassionate options for future guests as a result of the stadium's miscommunications...since some of their staff is clueless on how to treat guests.
