Overall, we enjoyed our brief stay here. It was clean and comfortable with great service. If they could do something about the sound insulation and increase breakfast selection and space, it would be perfect.
The airport shuttle was waiting for us when we arrived, and it was a quick trip to the hotel. The shuttle runs 24/7, and services 2 other hotels and a long-term parking lot which are all on the same block as the TPS. Since these hotels are all in the same place, and they are located adjacent to the airport, I would imagine that this type of prompt shuttle service would be typical.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We requested and received a late (1:00) check-out. (Our flight the previous night was late, and we didn't get to our room until after 1:00 AM.) Both check-in and check-out were a breeze.
The room was very clean and had a full kitchenette. The beds and pillows were comfortable. Although we did not have time to use it, the pool & pool area seemed large for this size of property. It is located on the south side of the building, I would imagine that it gets sun for most of, if not all day, year-round.
The walls of the hotel seemed too thin for an airport location. Not only could we hear the planes as they were landing in the morning (the hotel property is right at the end of one of the airport's runways), but we could hear the comings & goings of the other guests on our floor, which started about 3:30 AM.
The free breakfast is scant -- mainly cereal & fruit, and the lobby in which it is served is very small. If there are more than 10 or so people, you would need to take it back to the room to eat comfortably.
This is my first stay at a TownePlace Suites. I think calling the room we stayed in a 'suite' is a bit of a stretch. While it did have kitchen amenities that most hotels do not, the room was the same size as typical room in this price range. And, with a fair portion of the room devoted to the kitchenette, the rest of the room seemed a little cramped.
