This museum is housed in a beautiful historical building that is on the University of Tampa campus. Much of the building is now used as classrooms and offices, but the grandeur of the former hotel remains on display in many areas--in the museum and beyond. The audio guide is very helpful, as some of the rooms are very full of artifacts that would be difficult to sort out otherwise.
We took time to explore other areas of the building after our time in the museum, and I'm glad we did. We didn't take time to explore the garden area, though I'm sure that would be enjoyable as well.
My only complaint is that there are no restrooms in the actual museum. Patrons must exit the museum and use facilities in the University portion of the building. The location of these restrooms is not immediately discernible for visitors, though museum staff gives simple directions.
