Stayed two nights for meetings with a state official. The facility was pleasant enough. The staff was friendly and the breakfast reasonable. Good rates. Would stay agin. There are a few nearby restaurants.

I stayed at the Marriott Residence Inn last night and was very impressed with the spaciousness of the room (including the kitchen), the staff, and the free breakfast. What an excellent value! Perfect location for anyone visiting FSU.

It is true; our location adjacent to the FSU campus is most convenient for visiting your students. The full kitchen in all our rooms is always an extra benefit for that long missed home cook meal for our students! We were very glad to hear that everything worked out well during your visit and we hope to see you very soon.

Free shuttle to/from airport and most places around the hotel. Spacious clean rooms with new fixtures and decor. Decent breakfast buffet and great "pantry" selection in the marketplace. This hotel hits the mark for the business or family traveler. Nothing luxurious or amazing other than consistent good service, clean comfortable surroundings.

The Capital isn't really walkable and there's not much in the immediate area as far as food/nightlife, but it is a quick shuttle or Uber ride away. Great stay.

It is true we offer complimentary shuttle service to and from the airport, as well as the entire FSU campus and also the Capitol Complex! The shuttle service departures the hotel at the top of every hour between 8a and 10p to service drop off and picks at these locations. Upon arrival at the airport we request that you call the front desk for pick up after you have gathered your baggage as the security personnel do not permit us to wait at the curb. Some of our guest enjoy the 2 block walk (10min) to the capital complex, although we understand this is not for everyone, and there isa slight hill; very unusual for our south Florida visitors.

We were very surprised to hear that you did not find any of the great local dining and entertainment spots immediately around our hotel. In fact we even have two awesome local breweries in the neighorhood that many of our guest enjoy. Proof andGrasslands. Not to mention a Brass Tap and our favorite social house - Madison Social! The next you are in, please stop by the front desk for a recommendation! There are many to chose from.

We hope to see you very soon,

We stayed at this hotel for the second time this February. Our first visit, a year earlier, was less enjoyable because of the surrounding area (very run down at the time). This time, our visit was excellent because the surrounding area has been completely revitalized. Now this hotel is in the middle of all the action in the hippest part of town. Both visits, the hotel was comfortable and clean - exactly what you'd expect from a Residence Inn. The rooms are spacious with a kitchenette and a sitting area. The only issues with the hotel are the lack of a safe in the room and excessive street noise. Not much can be done about the street noise. The hotel is located on the corner of two busy streets and on the weekends in particular traffic noise continues late into the night. This trip we also heard a TV from another room - not sure if a neighbor was trying to drown out the street noise with their TV or if they really stayed up all night (thinking the former), but it was really annoying. Again, not much the hotel can do about it. The sound was relatively faint - a tribute to the thick walls. Breakfast is included downstairs, but I don't really find it edible - the coffee is undrinkable and the scrambled eggs in a vat look kind of gross - but it is nice that they provide something for free. Plenty of people didn't seem to find it as objectionable as I did. The location is what really makes this hotel better than average. It is practically on the FSU campus and walking distance to quite a few restaurants & bars in the newly revitalized "College Town". It is an easy 10 - 15 minute walk into downtown Tallahassee/the Capitol area. One thing to note: they have started to charge $8 a night to park in their parking lot. I don't know if this is all the time or weekends only. I didn't notice this when I booked and find it to be atypical of Residence Inns. They also did not charge this last year. At least it is still self parking not valet only as it is at many downtown hotels, but it is kind of an annoying upcharge that is pure profit to them. I'm used to parking fees at upscale hotels, but at this hotel level, it would be more fair to include this charge in their advertised rates.

Thank you for taking the time to provide such wonderful comments regarding you experience at our hotel. We appreciate your efforts to help our team understand how we may best improve! It is true we provide a complete hot and complimentary breakfast with a very wide variety of options. We were very disappointed to hear that you were unable to find a good match to start your day. The next time you’re in, you might consider trying one of our homemade yogurt parfaits or a fresh made to order waffle! We are very excited about the many recent upgrades to our neighborhood. In fact we will soon be welcoming a new neighbor for your morning adventures. A local favorite hot spot, Catalina Coffee is currently working on a new shop directly across the street. In any case, we hope you may return very soon for your next visit to Tallahassee.

This Residence Inn is in the middle of downtown, a block or so from the Capitol, the state Supreme Court, etc., and a short walk to the newly developed "old town" bar scene. Rooms are typical Residence Inn suites with full kitchens, clean & well equipped. Also has typical free breakfast, including scrambled eggs- not just some warmed over sweet rolls. Pleasant and accommodating staff. On site parking. In the center of everything. Would definitely choose to stay here again.

Room Tip: Rooms on the first floor may be a bit noisy from the nearby street traffic, but they are not terribl...

It was excellent to hear that you found our hotel to be the perfect spot for your visit to the Tallahassee area. It is true; our hotel is in the heart of the up and coming Art’s and Entertainment District. This is Tallahassee’s fast growing hot spot for dinning and evening entertainment options. In fact this week we just welcomed our second local neighborhood brewery, plus many other locally developed dining options for a unique Tallahassee experience. Not to mention our location is also adjacent to the FSU campus! We hope to see you on your next visit to the Tallahassee area.

Our annual lobbying convention moved over for 2015.Newer hotel with large studio style rooms with all necessary elements for a multi-day stay.Conference rooms were convenient and well suited for a smaller group.Breakfast was included and better then most in this price range. The location while convenient is not necessarily well placed for the walk to the Capitol.Gaines Street Pie across the street is worth stopping in for great pizza.

Tom O,

Gaines Street Pies is also one of my favorites. In the battle of pizza, I side on the thin crust. In my opinion, Gaines Street Pies has some of the best crust in Tallahassee. They also have a solid selection of craft beers, most on draft – the atmosphere is definitely authentic college dive which only adds to the local campus flavor of our neighborhood. In any case, we were very glad to hear that your organization made the move to our hotel for their annual conference. Our 4,200 sq ft of meeting space is a perfect fit for conferences up to 200 attendees and our full hot, complimentary breakfast is always a great way to start your day of meetings! Hope we see you next year.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2015

We have been traveling to Tallahassee to visit for a few years now and have been mostly disappointed to the quality of accommodations for the price. Having just stayed here this past weekend we found this to be one of two best experienced thus far.

The front desk staff made us fell at home, housekeeping made sure everything was in order and the room (suite) was very nice. The rooms were spacious enough to accommodate our needs and everything is fresh and new making it even nicer.

Room Tip: It seems that the parking lot side of the hotel experiences a lot of noise from trash pickup, maybe...

Thank you for taking the time to provide the excellent remarks regarding our hotel and services. We were very glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay and our team proactively met your service expectations. We apologize for any disturbance created by the City of Tallahassee with the daily removal of our trash. We completely understand the importance of having great place to rest, relax and recharge from your busy day’s activities. We hope to see you very soon.
