“A Great opportunity to experience the Real Florida”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

This is a great location .. nearly 50,000 Acres of wetlands, forests, and miles and miles of coastline. The opportunity for great wildlife photography is only limited by your adventuring heart. There is the old Lighthouse and the 7 miles of road to get to it past pond after pond where all sorts of wildlife abound.. Particularly visible are the many species of birds.. Bring your bird book .. drive slow, ride a bike, walk and be patient for the ever changing scene to present yet another first.. I have been there more than 10 times.. Eat at nearby having seafood caught that morning or the day before.. Stop at the office, see the displays and talk to the volunteers and staff.. go back many times at different times of the day. Go as early as possible and at near sunset.. It is Nature . the Real Florida..

Birds galore and great place to take a stroll and picnic. Scenic drive and cute Light House. Also home to Whooping Crane migration.

“Truly Outstanding Birds and Scenery”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2013

We saw more birds per minute in this park than any other park we have ever visited. There are countless sites, so you don't have to compete with a lot of other visitors. Great for walking, a beautiful national resource.

“Awesome. Nature at it's touristy best.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2013

If ever there was a tourist type nature slash ocean place to go this is it. Plenty to do & see. We only stayed for a small amount of time but we had a blast. Saw 4 Bald Eagles. Look foward to going back & planning a day trip. A definate must see if you are visiting Tallahassee. Worth the extra 25 miles.
