This is a great location .. nearly 50,000 Acres of wetlands, forests, and miles and miles of coastline. The opportunity for great wildlife photography is only limited by your adventuring heart. There is the old Lighthouse and the 7 miles of road to get to it past pond after pond where all sorts of wildlife abound.. Particularly visible are the many species of birds.. Bring your bird book .. drive slow, ride a bike, walk and be patient for the ever changing scene to present yet another first.. I have been there more than 10 times.. Eat at nearby having seafood caught that morning or the day before.. Stop at the office, see the displays and talk to the volunteers and staff.. go back many times at different times of the day. Go as early as possible and at near sunset.. It is Nature . the Real Florida..
