“Great place to visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2013

Tallahassee is a little out of the way for most FL residents, but if you make it there (probably for school or to lobby for your cause ;) definitely check out the Museum of FL History. It is free to attend and free to park if you get a token from the gift shop after you tour the museum. You can easily spend half a day here if you really concentrate on the exhibits. Don't plan on rushing. There is enough interesting stuff to see for all ages.

“Family day out”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 22, 2013

The family and I had such a wonderful time at the museum. There was more than nough historical information for my girls to enjoy. The prehistoric mammoth was a beautiful site and my children just loved it. I wish that we would have gotten there much earlier. If you decide to visit, which you should, make sure you set aside about 2 hours to fully enjoy all that this museum has to offer. Best of all, it was free admission and free parking. You will enjoy yourself so much, you might be filled with generousity and leave donation.

“A most worthwhile museum”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2013

If you at least marginally interested din the history and geography and art of Florida, you should visit this museum. Very large and comprehensive. We particularly enjoyed the exhibition of paintings (which will not be permanent). Extremely good coverage of Florida's history. It's free, and your parking is also free if your visit the museum.
