The land is absolutely gorgeous in the spring! Very historical and an overall fun place to visit! Great experience for the admission price, too!

“Who knew?”

Fascinating presentation of early life in Florida when the Spanish and the natives lives together peacefully. Lovely location and a great hill for kids to roll down!

“A walk back in time to a joint Spanish and Native American settlement that has arisen again, being not only historical but also ”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2012 via mobile

We love Mission Luis! It is part of a Spanish-Native American community that has been reconstructed on the original site. It is truly like a walk back into past. Among other things, there's a fort; a gigantic thatched meeting center that kind of looks like an enormous tepee; a church; a Spanish home; a kind blacksmith who will make tools, nails, hooks, etc. right in front of you; a trail; a museum; a cool gift shop; and several folks in proper period attire who can tell you about their lives in colonial times. It really is a beautiful, scenic place that I like to go to to relax and unwind. It is close to a busy area, but when you enter the site, you forget we've living in the 21st century. We have four kids varying in age from 4 to 15, and they all love the place.

“Coming along nicely”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2012

Small, but very well done museum and grounds. Nice area for walk around grounds with good replica areas. Inside museum is small but informative. Nice events such as Cinco de Mayo paseo with pets dressed in period costume along with owners.
