Our family recently went to Strikers on a Groupon deal ($30 for two hours of bowling for six people, including shoes and a large pizza) and it worked out pretty well. Strikers is an older place, but it is kept up, and the pizza was pretty good, better than expected. The place was crowded, and people didn't seem to keep track of their own bowling ball -- they just grabbed what was available near their lane, including one teen who walked over to our lane, went through our balls, picked one up and walked off.
You need to understand that this is, after all, a bowling alley, and set your expectations accordingly. There were teens hanging around in the parking lot, and children running around inside. At least it is a family place, and around 10 p.m. (I think) they lowered the lights and turned on "glow bowling," which was kind of cool.
I'm not sure I'd pay standard prices or go out of my way to go to Strikers, but I'd go again on a Groupon deal or on a special the alley was running.
