“good seafood”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2012

Service is good and food is great - large portions and tasty. It is a very popular restaurant and wait time may be long, but it is worth the wait.

“Good Food, Huge Portions - PRICEY”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 18, 2012

Sam's has very good food and the service was very good, however, it is pricey for the type of food being served and the very casual atmosphere of the restaurant. The most expensive entree on the menu for a restaurant of this style should be $12, however, the dinner menu does not have an entree that is less than $12! The portions are HUGE, which may justify the price, but I would prefer a smaller portion and a lower price. For instance, the chicken finger dinner is $12. That is a lot for a chicken finger dinner. However, the portion was like 7 or 8 chicken fingers and 2 sides. That is way too much food for one sitting. They should cut the portion in half and charge $7. Oh by the way, you cannot order the smaller lunch portion for dinner unless you are older than 62. I am not kidding. Also if you were able to order the lunch portion for dinner they charge an additional $1.50 which makes the lunch entree nearly as expensive as the dinner entree. I ate there last night with my wife and two sons. Four entrees and three beverages (my wife just had water) came out to $65 with 15% tip. That is ridiculous for a fried seafood meal.

“Great food!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2012

Went to the summerfield restaurant today, had the fried oysters for lunch, come with fries, hushpuppies the size of a hard ball, and the green beans were home made, not out of a can, but soft and supple with bacon, never have I ever seen that in a restaurant. we will definitely return again.
Wife had the salmon which was excellent
bathrooms clean
great service

“Good seafood, reasonable price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2012

Nice place to find some seafood. The ambiance isn't all that great but the food is well worth it.
