Went to Bagel Brothers for a mid-morning egg sandwich. There were few cutomers and plenty of staff behind the counter. I ordered an egg sandwich and watched as the person who took my order flipped the egg a couple of times on the flat grill with the available spatula. Then another staff person, who had previously been at the other end of the restaurant doing other work, walked up to the flat grill without bothering to wash his hands. He looked at the egg. He looked at the toast waiting on the counter. Then, with great flair he snatched the egg off the grill WITH HIS BARE HANDS and with a dramatic arc (not unlike an Olympic discus thrower) thrust the egg onto the toast and with impressive speed wrapped the sandwich in paper and delivered it into the hands of the waiting cook. They both snickered and echanged comments, and the egg sandwich was then brought to me. I said that I thought handling the egg with bare hands was disgusting, and the response was that "he was wearing gloves" which was clearly not the case and easy to disprove as the unhygenic show boater was standing right behind the cashier, still ungloved. I left without the sandwich and headed to Dunkin Donuts.
