This place has a a wonderful staff, but if you are looking for a upscale vacation spot this is not the property for you. Probably a great group weekend getaway for locals. The group can grill and hang out etc. The strip is definitely not in walking distance. Siesta beach public area is nice but not in walking distance either.
The beach here near the property is ok, but you will have to walk about 5 minutes then the beach area is smaller with many more shells and dead fish etc. I wish we could have heard the ocean from the room but couldn't.

Rooms were small but updated and had comfy beds.

Thank you very much for taking the time to write a review and share with us that you enjoyed your stay! We are always pleased to read that you found the staff to be excellent and your accommodations very comfy. We are sorry that you stay with us in early February presented less than perfect beach conditions. There are typically not a lot of shells or any dead fish in the beach. We did have a couple weeks of some so-so beach conditions and we sure wish Mother Nature did not stop by to to visit us during your stay with us! We can let all of our guests know that the beach is in very nice condition and there has not been any reports of dead fish on the beach for awhile. Siesta Key also offers free shuttles that go up and down the island (operate on tips only) that will shuttle around the island from 10am until 2 am daily.. an easy way to get into the village while still enjoying all that the south end has to offer. We do have several shops and restaurants within immediate walking distance and find that our guests enjoying hanging out in the village at some point but happy to come back to this part of the island for relaxation and a true island like feel. We hope to see you in the future and really appreciate your kind review!

“Quaint family stay!”

This resort lives up to the previous reviews. It is reasonably priced. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Amazing movie selections for free. Really comfy beds. There were 14 in our group and the tiki hut was awesome! Used the grill for a crab leg and shrimp feast. Grocery is close and beach is just a short stroll. Have already recommended to a friend coming this summer. Job well done folks. Job well done. Thanks for a great stay!

Room Tip: Rm 120 is a little dark but other 1 bedroom and 2 bedroom suites were beautiful and newly renovated.

“Perfect mini vacation spot away from a lot of the tourists”

While searching for somewhere close to home to vacation I stumbled on the Tropical Beach Resorts- consisting of three properties adjacent to each other: Tropical Beach, Tropical Sun and Sara Sea. A two minute walk to the beach and we were in heaven.

The property itself is well kept, friendly staff and they go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable. There is complimentary yoga Saturday and Sunday mornings which is a must. The room was perfect for what we needed, and we got it at an excellent price online through the hotel website.

Complimentary coffee, beach towels were a great help. The beach, Crescent Beach, is not crowded like Siesta Key beach and just as beautiful. I'm not for the hustle and bustle of tourist places so it was perfect.

Strongly recommend!!!

“Beeeauuutiful”

A adorable little condo style resort. The room was a little small but a full kitchenette, bed, dining table and couch/love seat. The beach was a quick walk over a small bridge. The room was very clean even with the tile floors which are difficult to maintain with all the sand. The provided beach chairs which was nice. I can't say much about the pool as we spent our time out by the beach. There were lots of resturants with in walking distance. I spend alot of time traveling to various hotel/motels and it was def worth the money we had the best time

Your comments really do mean a lot to us and we look forward to seeing you in the future! As just a small note of correction so not to confuse future travelers.. there is not a bridge connection from this hotel to the beach. Accommodations are located gulf side, no roads to cross, with a direct beach access. All apartments offer a garden view, not a beach view, and are less than a five minute walk from any room to the beach.

Found this place on Trip Advisor, and then found a promo price on their website. While the resort looks old fashioned on the outside, the rooms are wonderfully updated and well appointed. Better than some so-called "upscale" hotels we've stayed in. Grounds are well kept, all is clean and lots of nice touches. Easy walk to the beach, close by stores & restaurants if you don't want to drive. Staff were great. Wish we could have stayed longer!!
