“Very nice stay in Siesta Village”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 21, 2011

This was our second trip to Siesta Key from Fort Pierce. We stayed at another place last year that was good but just wanted to try something else.
Super location- right in the village with all shops and restaurants just steps away.
The beach is right across the street - great for a morning swim, fishing the old pilings and sunset walks with my gal.
The price was good for the accomodations so we were satisfied on that point. We did find a lovely little beachfront place just a block away that we may try next year if we can book it when the time comes because it has a hammock and chairs around a fire pit under the Seagrape trees right on the beach- atmosphere!
If not we would definitely stay at Siesta Key Resort & Suites again and reccomend it to others.

Room Tip: Book online- it was easy!

This place was the best value in this popular area, period. Everything else in the area is too far from the beach and village, this is right in the middle and steps to everything. I booked this place due to some good reviews from other people, and it's prime location. But I was afraid of the bad reviews, took a chance and won. Yes it is run down, outdated and shabby. But it is clean, and has everything you need. I had no problems in the slightest. We did not drive to Florida to stay in an overpriced hotel room, we slept and cooked a few small meals but went out most of the time as I imagine most would. Housekeeping took care of everything, all was fine. I understand that some people would complain about the shabbiness of the place, but the cost is half as much as places without the location benefit, and it is a massive benefit. The employees were all nice. We had a perfect vacation, and will come back here again for sure. Walking around Siesta Key showed us that we had a real gem and got lucky. Many luxury resorts and crappy places, but all too far from everything. This resort is great for a beach vacation. Value can't be beat. Everything you need is right here. No frills, no bs. So what the carpet is curling a bit in one corner, or the bedspread has a retarded pattern that does not compliment the curtains, you get too much bang for the buck to complain about that. Good pool too!

Room Tip: ask for an efficiency suite, you get a kitchen.

This hotel needs to be shut down for filth. We reserved a two bedroom "suite" for one night and checked in and checked out before we even layed our heads down to sleep. To begin when entering the room you noticed the strong odor of mold and mildew. The carpets were stained and raised in certian places like something was living under there. As you walk down the hall you are greeted by the black and yellow stains on the wall and patched areas with miss matching paint where someone did a horrible job covering the holes. They called this a "suite" and it was anything but. There was a decent sized room which had a queen size bed in it, but as you go to find the other room you quickly realize that the county jail has bigger living corders for people who are sleeping there. The room was so small and looking past the crayon marks covering the headboard you quickly notice the blood stains on the curtians. Im not going to even discuss the bed sheets and the stains, everyone can use their imaginations. You then will come to the kitchen which is covered with rust and mold throughout the entire place from the fridge the cabinets, the drawers and the stove. There was still cooked on food on the appliances and silverware from whoever had previously stayed there. Let's not mention the food and drinks fermenting in different places from the previous guests. The kitchen was in a close running with being the most replusive part of the place, but the bathroom takes first place by far!!!!!!! The mold and mildew growing in the bathtub wasn't even the worst part. The toilet seat and lid was covered and stained with some yellow substance that looked to be a mixture of many things.

To go back a little bit I forgot to mention that we had reserved this room an month prior and the hotel failed to mention to use until we got there the room we reserved the air conditioner was broken and we needed to move to two seperate rooms because they had nothing else open. When we moved we were even more unhappy then before so they moved us back.. until it was to much to bear we yet agian went and spoke with someone in the office and MOVED ROOMS AGIAN! Once being in that room for a total of 3.5 seconds we realized we had enough of this place and packed our bags and drove all the way home. If I could give anyone any advice.. NEVER EVER STAY HERE!

P.S.- Were not even upset about them refusing to refund our money of alteast discount the room... We wanted out!!!!!!!!

Room Tip: Do not stay here

This place is a huge disappointment. My room was over $200 a night and was disgusting. I took a picture of the curtains to send to my husband and he asked me if someone was shot in the place -- stains that looked like dried blood stains. Nothing seemed clean. There were black stains on the cheap comforter, black smears on the wall and headboard, the tub was stained and the towels weren't clean either. I actually ended up sleeping in my clothes I was so uncomfortable in this room. Also, as another reviewer mentioned, the tiles in the bathroom were missing and other things were falling apart. My suggestion - stay away.

This hotel was utterly disgusting. DIRTY towels, cigarette burns in the bedding and on window coverings, stains on carpeting, dirty walls. The carpeting was so dirty we all had to wear our socks and they were black on the bottom within hours. DO NOT EVER STAY HERE! We paid over $200 for 1 night, 1 NIGHT!! What a rip off. This place should be condemned. The staff was also rude. When we asked for clean towels, he just looked at us and gave us several dirty, stained towels.

We had to stay for 2 nights at this hotel since the original hotel we booked with messed up our resevation. Location is great, within steps from the beach. The room however was not so great : very dated, moldy-smelling, kitchenette equipment looked dirty and covered with rust, some of the lighting didn't work and the carpet was dingy. Cleaning ladies and reception staff were nice but they seriously need to renovate this place from the ground up. Definitely not worth the price.

Yes, this place has a great location right across the street from the beach. Unfortunately, that's its only good quality. We rented a two bedroom suite and one of the rooms was so small that the bed was pushed against the wall so that we could only get on it on one side. There were cracks on the ceiling and walls, and the comforter had holes in it. There was a gross stain on one of the sofa cushions, and the walls are paper-thin. We could clearly hear our neighbor's conversations throughout the day. Housekeeping stinks too: my first day there, I opened one of the dresser drawers to find a discarded bra inside. The worse offense is that this room only had one measly bathroom for four people. Crappy TV reception and a mildewy smell rounded out this disaster. Oh, and the AC seemed off temperature-wise. It was either too hot or too cold and the temperature in the room didn't seem to match the setting on the thermostat. Needless to say, avoid like the plague.
