“Peaceful and Beautiful!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 8, 2012

My wife and I stayed at The Capri in early March of 2012. We were VERY pleased with all aspects of the property. It was quiet, clean, peaceful, and beautiful. My wife kept remarking that she felt like we were back in Bermuda on our honeymoon! The beach is a very short walk from the hotel and we found it as advertised......Beautiful! Soft, cool, white sand, gentle waves, not too crowded. The sunsetts are picture postcard-like and we found ourselves just hanging on the beach all day up to an hour or so after the sun had set because it was so relaxing. The room was very clean and well stocked and everything was in good working order. We borrowed chairs from the "Sharing Room" and we actually left a few things there when we left. The staff at The Capri, especially Heather, were very friendly ad helpful. There are a few restaurants within walking distance, but we found that the eating places on the North and South end of Siesta Key were well worth the short drive. We also enjoyed just walking across the street to get a pizza and taking it back to the beach with us to have a quiet dinner and watch the sun set. We will definitely return!!

I found the Capri online and was pleasantly surprised upon arrival. The Capri is perfect for a quiet getaway. It is well maintained, the rooms were clean, decorated nicely and was nice to have the kitchenette . Loved the common courtyard area. It's a smaller property which gives a cozy atmosphere. Would definitely stay there again.

After wanting to return to another great place north of Siesta Key, Cedar Cove Resort in Holmes Beach, we were very disappointed to not be able to book less than 7 nights due to "high season" at that resort. I searched further on Priceline, and found the Capri at Siesta. It was so much more than we expected, and so much nicer than Cedar Cove! The room (#107) was great - modern, clean, nice furniture, fully appointed plus a beautiful garden sitting area where you could relax outside after enjoying the amazing powdery-white beach. Our front-desk hosts, Heather & John, were gracious, helpful and very accomodating. There's also a nice "sharing room" with beach toys, extra toiletries & towels, etc., as well as free use of the washer & dryer (with detergent!) I did learn some lessons on this trip, and I will offer you some advice... Do not make a habit of just going back to the same places, discover more about the area! This hotel was absolutely wonderful and there was no "minimum stay" policy. It was also less expensive than other resorts that are not nearly as nice. Also, do not book on Priceline without calling the hotel you're considering directly to see if it is, indeed, the "guaranteed lowest price." This was totally false; I paid $100+ more than the price that was charged to anyone else booking directly with the hotel. I called Priceline & they did not honor the "guaranteed lowest price" statement. They offered me a future $10 discount per night up to 5 nights on a future booking with an expiration date. Call Capri at Siesta. You will be greeted by friendly & helpful staff & most likely get a better price than through Priceline.

Room Tip: #107 is the largest room, offering a separate bedroom with a writing table & large chest of draw...

Cozy, clean and newly renovated (very important.) Close to the beach, theaters, St. Armand's Circle and Ringling Museum. Would definitely recommend for a week-long stay.

We needed a short getaway and pick the Capri because of location, price and so on. I was pleasantly surprised by the room. Large, well kept plus if we were to stay longer there was a kitchenette. Nice court yard area, grill and so on. So while we didn't stay long this time, we're thinking about taking a longer getaway and definitely keeping them in mind.

Capri at Siesta is a wonderful place to spend a relaxing vacation. The location is quite conveniently located because the accommodations on Sarasea Circle have easy access to the beautiful white sands of Crescent Beach, plus they're also just a short (5-10 min) walk to several restaurants & a grocery.
We enjoyed spending time in the courtyard area of the Inn, where a small fountain provided a soothing background for reading in the afternoon or sipping drinks with other guests who became friends during our stay. Clean new gas grills & utensils are also located in the courtyard. One evening we grilled fish purchased at the (5 min walk away) fish market. Most evenings just before sunset a group would gather & walk toward the beach to watch the spectacular sunset over the Gulf.

Room Tip: Units at Capri vary in size. 101 & 102 are smaller. I'd recommend those rooms for shorter st...
