Description: Ophelia's on the Bay is one of Sarasota’s premier fine dining waterfront restaurants. Enjoy beautiful vistas of Little Sarasota Bay, from the floor-to-ceiling windows that line the dining room. Or join us for al fresco dining on our open-air patio, as the dolphins and manatee swim by. Winner of many awards both locally and nationally, including an Excellence rating from Zagat as well as being listed as the number one restaurant in America in Power and Motoryacht Magazine for dock and dine. Ophelia's on the Bay has also been voted most romantic, best waterfront and best restaurant with a view by its loyal customers. The menu changes nightly using fresh and seasonal ingredients, fresh fish flown in from all over the world and specialty meats. There is certainly something for every palate! We feature an extensive wine list, specialty martinis, as well as a full bar. Family owned and operated for over 22 years, we have an experienced staff that prides itself on exemplary service.

“Good food, nice atmosphere”

Well-prepared food. Adorable setting overlooking the day. Personable service. Reasonably priced. Dressy casual. Valet parking.

“Upscale dining experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 3, 2013

Menu has variety. Entrees have a lot of intriguing ingredients. Chef clearly puts lots of thought and creativity into combinations. Wife enjoyed a duck and goose dinner: goose egg with duck sausage, duck breast and duck leg. I had diver scallops: big and meaty with nice mix of gnocchi. Place was packed on a Saturday. Diners seemed to be enjoying themselves. Elegant without stuffiness. Pricey.

“Incredible”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 3, 2013 via mobile

Our party of 4 had an incredible evening at Ophelia's. The view, the food, and the service were all outstanding. The grouper, lamb, mahi mahi and pork were all amazingly good. We kept saying "wow" all evening. Our server, John, was the perfect example of good service. He knew the menu (we needed gluten free) and he was very friendly and funny. Highly recommended for a special evening.

“Great dinner!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2013

My girlfriend and I were visiting Siesta Key for 2 nights and wanted to take in all that it has to offer. We treated ourselves to a nice restaurant and were pleased with our choice of Ophelia's! They have an extensive wine list and also half bottles and wines by the glass. The menu changes almost daily depending on what the Chef can get that day from the fish markets, so you know it's fresh! We both really enjoyed our dinners, great service as well. It was rather dark outside so we couldn't see the outside views of the bay but the atmosphere was truly old school Florida, laid back but at the same time classy. It was a little pricey but you get what you pay for. Also, the Valet cars when we were there were outta this world! At least half a million dollars worth of cars in the little parking lot. Definitely a must see for a nice romantic night out with your significant other!

“Daring and Delicious”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2013

It was our ( husband and wife)first visit to Siesta Kay and we were looking for a restaurant
to celebrate a belated Valentine's dinner. I am a "foodie" and love adventuresome eating.
As soon as I saw Seared Steak of Hudson Valley Foie Gras- bruleed with raw sugar,Blueberry
Sour Cream Quickbread French Toast, Pomegranate Gastrique, Balsamic Glaze, I knew I was
either in for a divine experience or a nightmare! Simply put Executive Chef
Daniel Olson hit a gastronomic home run with an exquisite blend of textures and tastes.
One note of caution- although an appetizer the portion was huge and could be substituted
either as a dinner or dessert! I think that justifies the cost. Then just to make sure this wasn't
a fluke- I decided to order a main course using a fish with which I was quite familiar- Yellowfin
Tuna -togorashi salt, Kabuso Soy, Spicy Shrimp Salad, Yuzu Marmalade, Finger Lime Caviar etc. This tuna, seared so quickly, was served in perfect rectangles, that MELTED in your
mouth. The above mentioned accompaniments were in perfect harmony and again the
portion was very large. My husband delighted in my leftovers after thoroughly enjoying his
Breast of Duckling. My only regret is not having room for dessert. My only other suggestion is
that cushions are provided for all chairs as leisurely dining is helped enormously by
comfortable seating.
