My husband and I have been going to Siesta Key once or twice a year for the past 10 years or so. We found Miguel's on our first visit and now make sure we eat there every time. Miguel and Kay's sons now run the restaurant and Gabe is an excellent chef. Daniel is a lovely host, and we have never found any of the waitstaff to be rude, missing in action or anything short of attentive, and many of them have worked there for years. As for the food, we usually have the Chateaubriand for two if we go twice in one visit and enjoy either seafood or veal dishes otherwise. Gabe often has something special up his sleeve for dessert based on seasonal fruit and other offerings. The wine list is not lengthy and is the only slight disappointment - although we can usually find a nice cab or primitivo to complement our meal! Daniel is quite helpful with wine selection if needed.
As so many people have said already, don't be fooled by the shopping center location! It is a lovely little restaurant with great ambiance, good food and great, friendly service. Don't miss it.
