“Wonderful Ambience and Food by Lovely Family Owners/Chef”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 14, 2014

My husband and I have been going to Siesta Key once or twice a year for the past 10 years or so. We found Miguel's on our first visit and now make sure we eat there every time. Miguel and Kay's sons now run the restaurant and Gabe is an excellent chef. Daniel is a lovely host, and we have never found any of the waitstaff to be rude, missing in action or anything short of attentive, and many of them have worked there for years. As for the food, we usually have the Chateaubriand for two if we go twice in one visit and enjoy either seafood or veal dishes otherwise. Gabe often has something special up his sleeve for dessert based on seasonal fruit and other offerings. The wine list is not lengthy and is the only slight disappointment - although we can usually find a nice cab or primitivo to complement our meal! Daniel is quite helpful with wine selection if needed.

As so many people have said already, don't be fooled by the shopping center location! It is a lovely little restaurant with great ambiance, good food and great, friendly service. Don't miss it.

“Great find”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2014

Recommended by friends we tried Miguel's. Have been in the plaza several
times and missed the unobtrusive outside of this restaurant but inside very cozy
waitress was excellent and food very tastey!! Will return on our visit next year for sure

“Favorite Find on Siesta Key”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 2, 2014

Our last night on Siesta Key I insisted we eat out so we drove to the shopping center housing Javier's, City Pizza, and Miguel's. My wife chose Miguel's but we were somewhat skeptical approaching the door since the outside is unimpressive. But when we opened the door and saw the "old world" charm, we fell in love. The portions were generous, the service was great. I recommend the mixed grill for two.
Judging from some of the other reviews, go to Miguel's after 8:00 pm and avoid the dinner rush. The food, the service, and the wine will all improve with time. Bon apetit!

“Average (good not great) food at a good price”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 27, 2014

Had a dinner here recently. Based on the way the place was talked up we expected more. The best part of the meal was the garlic soup and reasonably priced wine.

“French it is!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2014 via mobile

Celebrated our 48th wedding anniversary here this afternoon. My better half enjoyed the Lamb chops, done to perfection, and me I had Veal Oscar. Both winners. Appetizer of pate, cheese and carrots, etc. dessert for my wife was ice cream , strawberry. Yum this place has been in existence for 30 years, according to the hostess. That is staying power for sure. Nice crowd for a mid week dinner. Our server Sean was attentive and not overbearing. This is a keeper.
