We were so happy with the well prepared classic French fare, our entire family had to go back for one last visit before we left Siesta Key. The ambiance is very chilled out country casual, the owner is extremely professional, and she accommodated our large party twice with efficiency and friendliness.
The food was pure classic French: comforting, tasty, filling and delicious. I hadn't had a decent Croque Monsieur in ages and it was perfect, not too much mornay (white) sauce and accompanied by a very lightly dressed small salad (the way I like it) and some tasty rosemary potatoes. The others in our party had crêpes to croissants and also sampled the French onion soup which was superb. Be prepared for the real deal, no typical American re-do's.
Also on the menu were some heartier dishes such as boef bourgignon but we were after lighter fare in the summer heat.
If I had to recommend one place to visit that is a great value with great good and service, this would be it. Our daughter, age 10, and her two cousins (10 & 8) also loved this place, nice children's menu that featuresd crêpes that they loved. This will be one of the places we will always visit when returning to Siesta Key.
