“Great music!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2013

The food and drinks weren't my favorite, but I was very pleased with the friendly staff and great music! We went on a Sunday and we jammed all night.

“Great Place and Atmosphere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2013

Went here for the first time and the service and food was really good. My girlfriend had the lobster and I had shrimp which was very good. I also got the mac and cheese balls and they were the best of the best. There was also a band playing outside which was nice to sit out on the deck and enjoy music. Also has inside seating if you do not want to listen to the band.

“Burned Flab!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2013

We had been staying away because of lousy reviews and the burned flesh smoke diffusers which force guests to inhale acrid fumes. What an outrageously dumb idea. Like trying to done in a smokers car withe the windows up. Q Sampler terrible. Smoking poor quality meats does not improve them. Brisket mostly gelatinous white flab. Chicken and pork gristly. Sauces are Cattlemans from grocery store. Cocktails and bartender nice but Titos @ $10 a pop overpriced. What was it better when it was called Blue Smoke?

“Just Average”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2013

We were hoping for a great BBQ place but the food was just average. They have BBQ scented mist coming out of small pipes around the perimeter of the outdoor seating area. This assures that you will leave smelling like a BBQ sandwich. The service was friendly but the whole place is tired and in need a a little elbow grease.

“Three times and out!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2013

Well we thought we would give Blu Que Island Grill one more chance on our visit last week. Big mistake -- if they weren't good on visists last Oct. and again in April, we should have just taken it off our list. We won't be back after this experience. There was one plus - the beers were nice and cold and the music was nice. Ok - so now for the bad... ordered brisket sandwich with beans. DH had the bison burger and twice baked potato. The brisket sandwich was 4 very thinly sliced pieces of brisket on a bun. About 75% of the brisket was fat. After I pulled off all the fat there was about 1 ounce of meat left on this big bun. What a disappointment. Beans were good but who wants to pay $13 for a big bun with less than a slider portion of meat on it and a dish of good beans? Bison burger was ok. Twice baked potato was VERY SKIMPY on the toppings - about 1 tsp. of sour cream and a few sprinkles of bacon bits. Disappointing. So then we decide we are going to have the bourbon bread pudding and coffee for dessert. Waiter takes our order and brings back the coffees - no dessert. He disappears - we think he went back to get the bread pudding - he passes our table AN ADDITIONAL 11 TIMES!! ignoring us completely as we try to ask him about the bread pudding. When he finally comes back to the table 25 minutes later, he pauses and says.. "Oh you wanted the bourbon bread pudding didn't you? " Unbelievable! We won't be going back. Don't waste your money on the food there - not worth it and wait staff service was terrible!
