Almost everything around here looks like an old Florida hotel one floor and a cozy feel . But when you open the door everything is beautiful full kitchen dining room. One or two blocks walking distance to the beach ( beach side) Perfect place to

We got back a couple of days ago from our stay here. My family and I had an amazing time! We even extended our stay by one day a couple of hours before we were suppose to check out because we just weren’t ready to leave yet. We appreciated all the little extras Tropical Beach Resorts offers too. From the beach chairs and the sand toys to the fresh coffee, cookies, lollipops and free movie rental at the front desk they made it a truly wonderful family vacation.

Side note: Sara Sea (don't know about the other 2 resorts) has a small island of grass with tables and a gazebo with 2 BBQ grilles in the middle of the resort. The grilles are kept clean. We made grilled steaks one of the nights. Yummy!
*Publix is less than a 10 minute drive. Great if you like to cook in and specially convenient when traveling with little ones.

My husband, son and I would love to go back year after year. Can't wait!!

Room Tip: All of the 3 resorts are within a comfortable walking distance but Sara Sea is the closest.

After a hectic week in the theme parks in Orlando, we thoroughly enjoyed some relaxing time in the Sara Sea Resort.

Siesta Key is a very easy drive from Orlando. It is about 2 hours from Orlando by car, and the roads are very well signed posted and not very busy.

The resort is well kept. We stayed in one bedroom apartment, which was just right for a family of four people. The apartment was very clean. It is cleaned every day and towels are changed regularly. The kitchen is really well equipped, but it would be nice to have a dishwasher. The apartment was nice and confortable, but a bit dark inside.

The resort provides barbecues, which are located just outside the apartments, for all the guests to use. We have used the one for our block of apartments, and it was just great. It was never busy, and we enjoyed eating al fresco.

The staff in the office is very helpful. Guests can borrow DVS (at no charge) to watch in the apartments. Guests can also help themselves with coffee, pink lemonade, biscuits and sun cream, which are available at reception. Towels and chairs are available for guests to take to pool/beach.

The pool is really nice. It is not huge, but it was never too busy so we could not use it. Also, there are plenty of chairs (people do not reserve pool chairs by placing towels on them at 5 am!) and the water is heated.

The beach is just gorgeous. It is only a few minutes walk from the apartments. The sand is soft and very white, and the sea is calm and warm.

We had a very relaxing and enjoyable time in the Sara Sea resort and I would stay in the hotel again.

Green Features: There is a recycling bin in the apartments where guests can recycle cans and bottles.

My girlfriend and I have made the drive to Siesta Key from Washington, DC twice and both times we sought refuge from our daily lives at Sara Sea. If you are looking for a simple/low-key vacation with access to a premier beach, then Sara Sea is for you.

The units are clean and come with a fully equipped kitchen. This includes a stove, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, coffee maker, and general dishes. We went with the king bed both times and its pillow-top is very comfortable. The shower consistently provides hot water with good pressure. Wi-Fi is included and worked well.

Each room has two wicker chairs and a small table outside the unit's door. This is a great place to chill before or after the beach and talk. Smoking is permitted outside the room so that is a plus for smokers, as the rooms are non-smoking.

The Sara Sea property comes equipped with two grills with the propane and grilling utensils included. There is a very clean pool that is shared by the adjacent properties, some of which are also owned/maintained by Tropical Beach Resorts.

The main office has beach towels for guests to borrow. There is also a library of movies that guests can loan for no additional charge.

The highlight of the area is the beach. Siesta Key is my favorite beach in the continental United States. It is only second in my heart to the beaches of Culebra, Puerto Rico. The sand at Siesta is 99% quartz. It thus feels like baby powder and does not retain heat so no burning your feet on hot sand!!

Pro-tips:
1. Do not miss the sunsets
2. There is a DVD player in the room. Should you want to see a new release that is not available in the movie library at the resort, then there are several Red Boxes around the area, including the local Publix.
3. The sky at night can be crystal clear. See how many shooting stars you can count in one night.

After much research here on TripAdvisor for a quick weekend getaway we settled on Sara Sea Resort and it was terrific. The resort is adorable and the rooms are very clean and well taken care of but what makes this such a great stay is the staff. They were also so fun and friendly and it really made the difference for us.

I would recommend this place as a great, budget-friendly resort!

I only stayed one night and wished I could stay longer! This resort is great if you plan on staying a few days or bringing a large family or group. Accommodations such as giant outdoor seating, grill, and pool made me wish I brought my siblings, their families, or my friends. It was just my boyfriend and myself and we were very impressed with our quaint studio suite. The resort is not on the beach but it only took about a 3 minute walk to get there - and it was scenic. Very nice staff and great bars and restaurants within minutes of the resort. I would definitely recommend booking a room again.

Spent two nights in their Boutique room...everything was clean, nice updated decor, comfortable space, safe feeling, great location, and would stay there again. Would also bring my own pillow...cant stand hard sponge pillows. Bath towels very poor. I don't think so on the beach, but close walk.
