We just returned from Sebring to our home town of Key Largo. In short and for real: We purchased a home in Sebring and have put our home in the Keys up for sale! Sebring is...yes...very laid back and un-touristy! YAY!!! Full of very friendly people, reasonable prices (Golf for $20 that INCLUDES LUNCH!!!), bicycle trails, antique car meets, great early-bird dinners, beautiful lakeside scenery, no traffic jams, and none of the just too, too beautiful people who seem to infest the coast. Nice mall, too! Well, anyway, we have visited there many times and are finally making the move! Plus, real estate values are still affordable! We can't even think of affording the beautiful pool home that we purchased in Sebring if wanted one in the Keys. We hope our new home does not get hammered too badly by Frances.
