“When you don't feel like cooking breakfast for yourself”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 3, 2012

Though the place is frequently busy beyond capacity, I would hesitate to recommend it unless you just do not feel like cooking.

The food is just average. The prices are low but the atmosphere is desperate or something. The waitresses have an uppity attitude because it is a very busy restaurant but they act as though they are doing you a favor by waiting on you.

Larger tables sit empty while two-tops must wait for a smaller table to become vacant. Can't they just seperate the larger tables to make room for smaller parties?

They just seem so greedy to make a buck and far too proud of mediocre food that isn't anything special.

“Chicken Cordon Blue - You've got to be Joking! Divey Joint”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 17, 2012

We went for lunch and the special was the chicken cordon blue. Anticipation of melted cheese and ham in a hot chicken breast was on my mind. What came out was a club sandwich. When I asked the waitress what is this she remarked can't you see the ham and chicken! They have no idea what a chicken cordon blue is. This was a cold club style sandwich, three cold thin pieces of toast with ham cheese and a small cold fried piece of chicken. Make sure to ask how your dish is served/prepared if you go here. This is a divey breakfast joint. Very basic. Menus delaminating etc.
I'm sure their breakfast's are far better, most people were eating breakfast at lunch time.

“Quaint”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 15, 2012

The Pelican Diner is a quaint little place located in a strip mall across from Home Depot on Hwy 1 in Sebastian. It's your typical home cooked meal and the service is great. Even though I only come in about once a month, the wait staff always remembers my order. Super folks, good place if you're looking for a quick, inexpensive home cooked meal.

“OK”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2012

Just OK. If nothing else is open, or close by. Breakfast is probably their best meal here.

“Fantastic!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 30, 2012

My husband & I frequent this little gem of a restaurant at least 4 times a week. They are open for breakfast & lunch. They serve dinner one night a week on Fridays. This place is very popular with the locals, too. Food is ALWAYS GREAT & very reasonably priced. If you go & there is a line, don't leave. The wait is well worth it!!!
