Went to Angelina's because we were staying in Seaside and wanted to get something besides seafood.. We stopped in when driving by for lunch.. It was your typical Italian pizzeria. It had your pictures of Italy, owners with friends and family, and your typical Americanized Italian menu..I am a Italian citizen and lived in the Northeast for 45 years.....SO, I know Italian food and more specifically Pizza (from Naples..Home of Pizza). The owners from Long Island I believe make their pizza like typical american pizza..(Sugar in the sauce, loaded with cheese that is not fresh, ROMA (distributor) type goods,etc.. When making pizza its about fresh ingredients..but most Sub/NY style pizzeria's don't do this. The pizza was ok for FL pizza or even NY style but its loaded with cheese, the sauce has no flavor and the meat ingredients are inferior.. The dough was actually very good and a sin that the rest of the pizza was not the same. My wife had a salad and it was ok..(Mostly Iceberg lettuce.).. The waitstress was excellent and very sweet..Overall a place that you can get pizza in a pinch but would not expect true Italian food and top notch pizza.
